**** The Official Chinese Phones Thread ****

personally i can't tell all the various androids apart.
i've used the various nexus, pixel, samsung, motorola and now poco phones... they all feel/run the same to me

I used Mi Mover. That made it very easy to transfer stuff over from the previous device.

-----

When I plugged in the old earphones I received a message about them not being supported,
so I guess that means either some earbuds or a more up-to date digital pair.

Flossy recommends the Leica version but where can you get this in the UK

Average Dad has the Global Version. Looks to be £200 plus cheaper than Official Xiaomi UK store (which is out of stock). Although Xiaomi UK do have a £200 trade in boost (which I used for my 17 Ultra, and was seamless), Official store also offers 24 month warranty, and 6 month free screen replacement if ordered by end of month.

Edit: The camera is really stunning on the 17 Ultra, each time it amazes me how good pictures look. I'm not sure how useful the extra Leica features are for me, and I did watch a video of a Dad playing with his Son at the beach, and the camera focus ring went crunchy with all the grit in the mechanism :( Ouch

I really wanted the Leica version, until I remembered that I sometimes work in a dusty environment, glad I saw sense and bought the standard Ultra instead! :p

so did you get the delivery? :D
I did, was close though.

So far liking it, it's a chonky boy for sure but the weight feels good, not lop sided with one hand like my old Redmi Note 13 felt like. Spent ages setting up the apps, well logging in, the transfer process was about 20 mins. Going out out tomorrow in London for a rave so it will be put through it's paces !!

Glad it got delivered alright. Enjoy! :)

At some point I think I'll get a case for mine, though a Google (admittedly only a quick search) suggests that it might be easier to get ones for the likes of Samsung/Apple/Google.
