Can't wear a watch. People have bought me them in the past but I can't keep them on more than a few hours without scratching or breaking them and I play guitar a lot so have to take them off for that because it's uncomfortable.
I suspect this is going to be quite a jump from a 7870. I might even get around to upgrading my board and i5 2500k at some point now there's a point and I actually have a decent card
When my wages double in a year I'll start paying double the price for luxury items but till then I'm voting with my feet and enjoying buying imported luxury goods for other hobbies that strangely don't seem to have doubled despite the pandemic. I'll be waiting it out.
A £120 card for over £200 More like £250-£300 from what I'm seeing. Still a massive rip off. And too much for the mediocreperformance increase on a 10 year old card.
A 2 year old card currently selling at double it's MSRP. Nope. I was looking for a bit, but gave up. At its MSRP that would have been the perfect upgrade for me.
I think that's it. If I can't get an FE then this market has priced out of my budget and I'm stuck playing older games until there's a big shift and prices come down.
I just had to click the lock in the address bar and delete cookies apparently. Works now. Shame I don't actually want a 1k+ card. Long time since the last 3060ti drop.
3080 and 3080ti fe Drops just now and I still haven't managed to follow the link. And load up scan. It's been about 10 minutes. Server traffic must be insanely high I've been cycling around the captcha screen non stop. Just won't load.

Month or so back I bought a new turntable instead of a GPU and now I'm thinking a nice new Orange Valve guitar amp.
This thread is so relevant because I am actively avoiding spending my money on an overpriced GPU, instead choosing to spend it on other hobbies.
What's next? New guitar? Hifi...
Yep. I've resorted to looking at prebuilts recently and mostly they are as you say. So you'd end up still paying over the odds for the GPU just like if you bought it on its own but now you've also got a load of other parts that you have to sell on probably at a loss.
I don't want to buy and sell GPUs. I don't want to gamble a month's + wages that I don't have spare for a possible part return at some hypothetical point in the future. I want a decent mid range upgrade for an affordable price for my usual budget (£150-£250) and I want to donate my old card to...
-6% black Friday bargain on a RX 6600 Down to £419.99. Get your orders in quick guys they'll be flying out at only 30% over RRP
*Fires up ancient 7870 in disgust*
Same. I really want to upgrade my 9 year old card but FE drops are few and far between and the last one was a bust, quite apart from the fact it's more than I really want to be spending, and I'm loathe to spend £400+ on a 1660 super/ti or an RX 6600. Just seems like a huge rip off.
I had one in my basket and went through checkout but it timed out at pretty much every step. My alert was also 19:56 and I was holding my phone so clicked through instantly
