 Okay, my bad as I did not read the forum rules.
By the way if you click on the link below to the mobo picture you will find that the second picture might be misleading hence my confusion and all the questions.

Kaeo & Folks,
Thanks Kaeo for the confirmation. In that case I will order the Asus P55 to see how it goes. I just hope this is not a "B" grade mobo as I know some companies do sell "B" grade mobo but they indicate that clearly on the website.
As for the onboard HDMI & VGA i am not that...
Thanks for all the link to the information on failure and cost of manufacturing ... good read that. As far as I am concerned the cost of production is debatable as I doubt they are going to show you the true cost because that is more or less industrial secret.
The failure rate accordingly...
I will be very suprised if they intend to repair it rather than replace it with one that is in working order. Also the raw material cost for making mobo is rather low that I doubt it worth the time trying to fix it. Well, unless we are talking about stingy company/people so for me this is a...
Yes, Blue Storm 500 (£60) is FSP because my Antec TruePower 550 was given some "cracking" sound when I plug it in or pull it out.
As for buying a popular model/brand etc I think I have learned my lesson when I bought my mobo and PSU (Antec) based on popular reviews ... The mobo only lasted...
Yes, I have RMA the mobo so awaiting their RMA number. I just hope I will salvage it by trying as much possibility to trouble shoot as possible.
So I have bought a new PSU (Blue Storm 500) but the problem persists i.e. power up for 1 second then complete shut down. Completely dead like no...
Folks,
I need your help urgently to get a replacement mobo as my Gigabyte P55M-UD2 died on me this morning after only 11 months. (hint: search on forum for OCChew and that's the one)
It was never healthy since day one as one of the case fan header kept beeping. I did not return it...
Hi Folks,
Could you let me know how you spec your Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 please.
The reason for asking is that I am getting BSOD problem from time to time especially from cold start without rebooting for 24 hr but once its get going it is very smooth and fast.
Specs:
(Built last...
My GA-P55M-UD2 (rev 1.1.) is also giving problem during boot up from time to time.
It would hang at Windows logo but not go any further or I could see the mouse and the little circle trying to move to the next stage but nothing else.
Last night it happened again but I let it be and it took...
Thanks for the reply.
Sometimes it beeps rather often I mean it beeps once in a while here and there but not continuously.
Sounds strange and I wonder if it is the ComproVideo Mate T220 that is causing the problem in mine or the RAM are seated properly ...
Temperature is fine after...
Hi Folks,
If your mobo is Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 mATX could you let me know if it gives out one soft short beep when it is in use please? I mean not the one short loud beep during boot up as that's normal.
I am trying to figure out the sound of the one short beep on my system as it happens...
I have searched the webs for hours on Award Bios beep codes to no avail as none described the beep code I am hearing ... weird.
It does not sound like the one short loud booting up beep but rather a soft one ... hhmmm ... I wonder if other users encounter such beep on their system.
Does...
Yes, I hope someone will explain that for us in order to better understand the RAM usage in the test.
I only tested on Standard setting for 5 mins but the test only lasted 1 min plus ... :)
Note: the occasional Bios beep still happens and this is really puzzling for me.
Ended up buying Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3000 (without mouse) for £24.95 while sticking to my trusted Logitec LX8 wireless mouse. No conflict whatsoever as the keyboard operates at 2.4 Ghz and the mouse at 2 Ghz.
Decided not to go with any of the Microsoft Wireless mouse (blue track)...
Update.
Just tested Intel Burn Test with success.
I tried the Standard Test which only lasted about 1 minute plus and the result indicated CPU stability.
However, during my Standard Test it showed Available RAM as 2851 (max was 3063) only but I have 4GB RAM on my system.
Oh ya ... during...
