Before I preorder this Sapphire Nitro+, there isn't an update coming out is there? With Gibbo struggling to get price reductions and only getting just over 100 of these Sapphire, they sound to be running out of stock. A new release on its way?

Certainly looks it. Been back and forward with AMD/Intel AMD/Nvidia 1080ti/Vega64 and decided to stick with AMD for both CPU and GPU as hate how Intel/Nvidia rip people off purposely .

Someone told me today that freesync doesn't work on opengl. X Plane 11 uses opengl so this woulw be devastating for my "all AMD" plan. Anyone know if that's true?

@Panos Before I pull the trigger, how are you finding your Sapphire Nitro+ Vega 64 compared to your 1080ti? Reliable? Run cool enough? Much difference in fps? Do you use yours on a freesync monitor? If the frames are lowish (40/50) does the freesync smooth out the judder also? Matt

Thanks for the reply. I'm coming from a 750D too so will be interesting to see the quality difference. I might even derivet the case yet and spray it. Whilst it's apart mod the case for better cable management if it's an issue .Haven't even opened the box yet as was working crazy hours...

Just been looking at some benchmarks with 2700x and 16gb ram and in lots of cases 3000hz is superior to 3200 and 3400hz. Is that cause the cas latency are lower in 3000? This isnt 8 pack ram so 3200 c14 would perform better in gaming than 3600 c16?
