40-43" 4K TV or Monitor without PWM

Hi all, It seems asking for the impossible but do any of you know of a decent 4K TV or Monitor that doesn't have any PWM or hybrid pwm, in the 40-43" range? Preferably a TV with HDR but almost all seem to have PWM except the Sony KDXE8004 which is no longer anywhere except one place at a much...

MSI GV72 7RE dropping frames, anyone help?

hi guys, So I have a MSI GV72 7RE laptop as a secondary comp. It has a 7700k hq (4 core+4HT) and a 1050ti. It performs pretty ok for what it is, but it keeps dropping frames in games-Far Cry 5, BF1 etc. Now I know its only a 1050ti etc, but it performs fine for the majority of the time...

    Mini-Review: Samsung 40KU6400 as a monitor

Found this: https://iristech.co/how-iris-reduces-pwm-flicker-medium/ So DC does still flicker, just much higher...?

    Mini-Review: Samsung 40KU6400 as a monitor

Awesome-thanks for this. There are minor differences between the two, but yeah I believe they are pretty similar. Can DC cause the issues PWM can? I’m in uncharted territory here and researching but its great you guys know loads already!

    Mini-Review: Samsung 40KU6400 as a monitor

Thanks for that. Tons of detail. So does my Acer xr342ck monitor have PWM? I can’t find out. I wonder if it does but its higher and not a problem. Or if its is free from it completely. It does have ‘flicker reduction’ but I’d love to know if it has any PWM somehow.

    Mini-Review: Samsung 40KU6400 as a monitor

Low being worse, right? I had to return to my acer ultrawide. No issues. Really disappointed, more with the fact im sensitive to it, but I am exceptionally sensitive to things due to illness. It did look pretty fantastic. I think I still prefer Ultrawide in ratio though. Thanks for all the...

    Mini-Review: Samsung 40KU6400 as a monitor

That setting is greyed out. :/ I think the PWM is getting to me. I have an illness that involves the nervous system and whether its just adjusting or not im not sure, but its not fun. Does anyone know the pwm figure on this? Im guessing it has it (did the camera test and at low backlight there...

    Mini-Review: Samsung 40KU6400 as a monitor

So, I got the TV and the picture is really good. But, loads of the options are greyed out (cant select game mode etc) or 4:4:4. Is this because my cable is probably hdmi 1.4? I can select 60hz in nvidia control panel. Secondly its making me feel pretty sick. Is this due to pwm? Or adjustment...

    Mini-Review: Samsung 40KU6400 as a monitor

Thanks for this, really helpful. I’ve just ordered one so hopefully it will be good. More curious now about the switch from Ultrawide to be honest!

    Mini-Review: Samsung 40KU6400 as a monitor

Thanks for this. I’ve just bought one (mu6400), and was thinking about the change from my ultrawide which I do really like, but its only 75hz. If I were used to 144hz it might have been harder. Thanks for all the info. Im running a 1080Ti so im hoping it will be ok (though imo still not a true...

    Mini-Review: Samsung 40KU6400 as a monitor

What are the viewing angles like on these? Can you turn the TV on the stand like you can with most monitors? Currently have an 34 “ IPS 3440x1440p 75hz. Thanks!

    4K 40" Reccomendations?

Is there a 40-42” 4k HDR, 10bit that has all the above? Especially the switching between 4k 60hz and 1920x1080 @120hz? And how does the hz switch work exactly? I think 49” would be way too big despite having a desk case, but im only 2-3ft away! Thanks

SLI and mGPU being phased out?

Hi guys, I love the idea of SLI and mGPU (crossfire) since circa 2005 but never had it. It seems from all I have read its pretty much being phased out, even if thats not been blatantly said yet. Do you think thats correct? Im less sure about mGPU/crossfire with DX12, it’s just seems as though...

    RX480 running @ 1440P

I have a 1080Ti now (moved to 3440x1440p), but used a rx480 for the previous screen (2560x1440p) and it did really damn well. I believe on high settings BF1 was over 60fps almost all the time, and most games were able to be played at high. I personally think Polaris is pretty underrated. Great...

    Nioh coming to Steam

Imo, it really is an amazing game. Have it on PS4 (didnt complete) but got pretty far. Amazing combat imo, very hard too. BUT the port is ridiculously poor, and no support for Ultrawide just stopped it for me (let alone no AA, the most basic launcher options). Shame on KOEI, as I would have...

    Kaapstad's new toy.

Giving to charity/advocacy does help change the world. It is just dependent on the charity structure, transparency and what is funded to how much it can help, and sure some charities are downright useless. But not all of them. Very cynical outlook if this was serious and not just flippant...

How best to record Skype Video AND audio

I'm sure I read pros and cons of certain recording software and a few had 'records video only'. This wasn't OBS, but 3rd party comparisons. Maybe I was wrong, but I found it odd enough to start this thread. In the end I got an app that works well, though it isn't OBS. I'll try and play about...
