Anyone just given up on looking for a new GPU?

I paid £600; so not too bad. I'm currently rocking a 2080Ti so it's sufficient, but I feel like there's more, you know? And also the itch to upgrade which never really leaves, lol. Going for a 3080Ti/3090/6900XT would make 4k gaming better, and the thing that puts me off a 6900XT is the lack of...

Anyone just given up on looking for a new GPU?

This is the thing that worries me the most tbh. I've been eyeing up a 3080Ti/3090 as I just got a lovely Acer X27, but I'm in the "is it really worth the money?" state of mind for the first time since pre-30 series launch. I can't imagine NVidia will ever go back to the old prices because...

    Thinking about downgrading my 980Ti...

I've had an offer above £500 which is why I'm considering it. I'm considering it now because I don't game much *now*, but if I end up doing more by the time Pascal comes out, then so be it.. Just feels a bit of a waste for the mean time :p & thanks Tele :)

    Thinking about downgrading my 980Ti...

Yeah, that's the issue for me really. @ The people who downgraded to 780s, 6gb models I assume?

    Thinking about downgrading my 980Ti...

Probably because I end up selling parts a lot, and since I don't really use it, it feels like a waste - At the time of purchasing I was into gaming, but not so much now. It seem(s/ed) like a rational thought at the time of posting this thread.

    Thinking about downgrading my 980Ti...

Hi, Bit of background info: I've got a Strix 980Ti, however over the past few weeks I've started to realise I don't really use it - Maybe 10 hours a week, if that. The only games I play are Assetto Corsa, F1 2015, DiRT Rally, and Just Cause 3/Tomb Raider will be two I play when they come out...

    Dell U3415W is going back

I've been quite happy with my IPS panels, IPS224V (x3), 25UM65-P (x2), B276HK, 25UM55 (x2), and now a U3415W. I can't remember what monitors I had beforehand, but they were not IPS. I remember being amazed by IPS' colours and I have stayed with it ever since. The U3415W has been the only one...

The GTX 980 Ti owners thread.

Looks great Jason - How are temperatures doing on the cards? Spulse, if TW3 isn't hitting 60 FPS but other games (what games? TW3 is very hard to run in comparison to D3, etc.) are, you may want to use Afterburner/GPU-Z to see if you are hitting 99% GPU Utilisation & a stable core clock (give...

The GTX 980 Ti owners thread.

Just fyi, Spulse, voltage, at least the +87mV in Afterburner, doesn't really do much on 980Tis. The Witcher 3 is notorious for not responding well to unstable GPU overclocks, the 1400/what I assume is 3800 on the memory, should be fine in most other games. I'd personally find whatever is...

Modern graphics card with a mini display port

Yeah I used a Palit SJS 980 and I had no issues with mDP to DP cable. They only cost a couple of quid too :)

    32GB or 16GB

There are X99 boards that support 16gb sticks, so I'd assume 64gb in quad channel would be possible. Where did you hear it?

    EVGA RMA for coil whine

I guess that's the news you asked Dominik not to spoil? Great to hear though, just another reason to go with EVGA.

    EVGA RMA for coil whine

What courier do EVGA use when it's sent back to you? I'm assuming since they're expensive items it's not going to be local post. Edit: Now that I remember, Ben said that the shrouds for the Hybrid cards would be sent by UPS... So I'm guessing that's my answer.

Has anyone heard of a release date for the DisplayPort 1.2a to HDMI 2.0 adapter?

£75 for an adapter? And I thought paying £20 for the active mDP > DVI-D adapter to use eyefinity on my 7970 was expensive... I suppose it's new technology, but still.

    What GPU should I get?

Oc3D said they managed to get Batman: Arkham Knight to use 10.5gb of RAM, which is insane lol. (http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/gpu_displays/batman_arkham_knight_amd_vs_nvidia_performance_review/1) RAM is cheap too, especially for a quick 2x4gb kit of DDR3, if you don't mind going second...

The GTX 980 Ti owners thread.

I own a Strix, after owning 3 G1 Gamings - I like the card in all honesty, but it's a bit long so you might want to see if it'd be possible to hoist it up a bit to stop it sagging. You can turn the logo off using LED Visualiser in GeForce Experience, you just can't have it on as one solid...

Which 980ti My eyes are bleeding.

Another vote for the G1 Gaming from me. I had three; overclocked to 1560/2000, 1560/2040 and 1570/2120, but unfortunately all three caused coil whine - Not too sure if it was bad luck or whether my Superflower wasn't up to the job for those cards. If you just want a card that works, EVGA SC+...

    RIP MSI GTX 970

Sorry to detract from the OP but I am in this scenario at the moment; refurb H110 that I've suddenly realised is extremely loud after changing case fans to NF-F12s... Are any of the newer Corsair AIO models any better? Corsair have said I can RMA the current one which is nice, just need to get...

    What GPU should I get?

Nothing wrong with your PC as a whole, Ivy Bridge is still very much capable, especially the i7s. Adding another 2x4gb kit (I assume you have 2x4gb already) would be fine. What card you "need" is dependant on what resolution you are playing.. I'll assume 1080p: For £350, I'd probably get a R9...
