i have this one https://www.overclockers.co.uk/dell-s2716dg-27-2560x1440-tn-g-sync-144hz-gaming-widescreen-led-monitor-midnight-grey-mo-084-de.html
this model from what ive read and also from what I tried to buy before this seems to have less problems with quality like back light bleed and dead...
el-nino you sound just like me lol it drives my wife crazy :p I am also waiting for the zotac 1080 amp extreme to come through as I bought it on sat night from another site for £428 but I think its probably a scam so not holding my breath.
I'm pretty sure you will be more than happy as I'm a fussy *****r and I like it a lot. if you don you can always send it back and get a refund so just make sure you unpack it carefully :)
I don't play overwatch or diablo I play battlefield and some other fps games but I can tell you if you buy a 144hz monitor now and you will be running maybe around 80-110 fps it will look so much more smoother than 60hz. even on the desktop just moving windows around looks smoother. I have the...
I can tell you from what I had is I went from a Samsung SA950 27" 120hz 1080p great monitor to the Asus ROG Swift PG279Q thinking it would be perfect and I had far too much back light bleed or yellowish glow from all 4 corners which I could see in a slightly dark game so I sent it back and had...
A gtx 1060 will run a 1440p monitor but you wont be running in highest settings in game and getting good frames per second. if you want to stay around 80fps and high settings in game I would stick to 1080p. (Do Not Buy A 60Hz Monitor) Once you have gamed on 100hz + you will never go back.
Hi there guys can you tell me which of these monitors you have and how far the actual screen is from the back of the desk. what I mean is the back tripod stand is so far back so if you push the monitor as far back on your desk as you can how far from the base of the back stand is the front of...
I don't think you would be sending the Dell S2716DG back as I love mine and I am fussy and ive tried the much more expensive monitors and found too many faults with them. I have a GTX980ti with an i7 6700k and 16gb ram and battlefield 1 in ultra high settings gets me around 90 -110 fps in 1440p...
i think I paid about £465 for 27" Dell version back in march 2016 but I agree all monitors have gone up by around £150 - £200 I know the £ is worth less but not that much difference. I can say that the Dell 27" gsync is very very good so no reason why the 24" would not be good. not sure what...
I predict it will have same yellowish light in the corners as its an ips panel and it is part of the tech and you will be happy when you go back to a top quality TN panel not cheap one as you will find in games the colours will look better due to better blacks and dark areas of games wont look...
either way that yellowish colour you are seeing is what I had on my asus ips panel and it looks crap. you don't see it on TN panels or at least not the ones ive seen. for playing games the asus ips one I had for £700 was not as good on colours as my Samsung or my Dell I have now and both are TN...
that is more like ips glow I had the asus PG279Q ROG Swift 27" 2560x1440 IPS G-Sync with almost the same looking but a little worse in each corner and I tried another one which was about what u have there and thought nah this is not good so I sent back and swapped it for the Dell S2716DG 27"...
I had the asus PG279Q ROG Swift 27" 2560x1440 IPS G-Sync 165Hz and I sent back due to quality problems with far too much ips glow and they sent another which was a little better but still too much for any kind of money never mind £700 at the time so I then got the Dell S2716DG 27" 2560x1440 TN...
if your in the uk you have 7 days by law to send back if you don't like it so just try one. I think overclockers give you 14 days just make sure you don't scratch it or make a mess of the packaging when you take it out.
I had the Asus one for 3 days and sent it back as it had really bad ips glow in each corner and they sent me another one which was a little better but still at the time it was £700 and tbh my Samsung sa950 in 1080p looked better. I was after the best gaming monitor for fps games you could buy...
