    Your history of gpu failures?

I blame CoH for giving my 7600GT visual artifacts before its immenent death after pausing the game for a while, while having something to eat like you do.I believe it was down to unlimited frames in the menu screens which devs are still guilty of this today in other famous examples. HD7750 was...

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Nvidia clearly don't want be scammed more from their GDDR6/X memory chips suppliers unless they charge even more astronomical prices for their GPUs.You can upgrade memory on a lot of devices so why not GPUs, theres plently of GPUs with different VRAM configs thats tied to their bus width like...

When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

Where is the middle ground? Its all relative, if you have the latest & shiniest flagship card, the 6600 would appear to be low end compared to your monster of a GPU.It definately is ranked as a mid-range GPU as it still sits in the middle of the charts in a sea of GPUs benchmarked. Its between a...

Which graphics settings would you turn down first?

Shadows, motion blur and grass details although the biggest frame dropper easily goes to Physx, i can still recall the slideshow effect when you get to a certain stage in Mirrors Edge.I don't think that was also soley to blame for Batman AK's initial performance problems.

GTX 1650 Super died - RX 6600 to replace

I should have looked at a bigger games average data, the 1080p SoTTR & Far Cry 6 benchmarks shows the 6650XT to be neck & neck with the 2080Ti.

GTX 1650 Super died - RX 6600 to replace

Theres also the faster 6600XT and if you want to be more future proof, consider the 6650XT which performs around 2080Ti level.

    NVIDIA 4000 Series

Well the top 3 AIB hierarchy for Radeon is Sapphire, Powercolor & XFX.For Nvidia i would include PNY(Paris to New York) together with Palit & Zotac in that "not so familiar" tier. That pack should start making mobos, etc so we are more likely to buy their GPU products because of brand name...

    What's your upgrade target?

A 100% increase in the performance target sounds all well and good but when upgrading from a Pascal card that is still propping up benchmark tables, why settle for that when up to 8x performance can be gained if going for the extreme 4090.A realistic middle ground 4x performance junp would be...

When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

It doesn't help matters that AMD & Nvidia are trying to outdo each other in who has the worse cards like the 6400 & the 1630.I propose a middle gound which is minimum GTX 1080 console like targeted performance @ 1080p which is already over 6 years old.You think everyone should all have cards at...

    New graphics card - £250ish

    2600 & a 6600 does have a nice ring to it.A 6700 for a sub £300 on a particular Friday deal would be hard to resist over a 6600.

    *** AMD "Zen 4" thread (inc AM5/APU discussion) ***

Every system i've built, the RAM ends up being upgraded to double the initial config towards the end of its lifespan in order to partially keep up with next gen.Every time I would have that mindset that it "ought to be enough for anybody", only to be proven wrong eventually. It really was...

Why are GPU's so cheap now?

Nvidia is not pulling the wool over my eyes, they trying to condition us to accept ~£300 is the starting point for a proper entry level GPU that will last a few years like the still clearly overpriced 3050.It would seriously have to be around £200 before i consider it over the cheaper, better RX...

BIG PRICE DROPS ON GPU AT OcUK

RTX 3050 is conspicuosly missing. It would need to be at least 10% of its MSRP (£239) to get a lookin amongst these deals. The 2060 with its massive 12GB looks like a steal, its basically an updated 1080 with more bells & whistles, and more VRAM than it can handle.

    GeForce GTX 1630 Review

I'm not defending the price however there is runaway inflation which is supposed to be 9% atm which hasn't stopped supermarkets raising their prices on some essential grocery items by more than 30%.

    *** GPU Hierarchy ***

S tier is popular not just in the audiophile world and shows up a ton on any given grading list, i'm surprised its not used here. For me S stands for special but it could be for superb, super etc.I can only think of "awesome" for the A tier and for E & F, well thats pretty obvious.

PC Gamer: RX 6500 XT looks worse on paper than AMD's $199 GPU from six years ago

1630 and 6400 XT, just what the OEMs really demanded and not for the budget enthusiast crowd, could it not get any worse for affordable "decent performing" cards released so far this year. The neglected gap between 6500 XT and RTX 3050 is a perfect slot for an entry level ARC launch when it...

When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

Laptop gpu? Or Nvidia could be reserving it as a response when ARC launches. Theres still no decent budget option for us calculated buyers, 6500 XT's small 4gb VRAM on it is a deal breaker as well as the pcie4 requirement to make the most out of it.A 6550 XT with 6gb or 8gb is a missed...

    RTX 3050 - starting at $249 (msrp)

£100ish off the usual price and like a tenner below MSRP is not to be sniffed at but its still a joke price for what is essentially a low end card released far too late in this gen cycle. How long are planning to wait for the RTX 4050? I may be wrong but it sounds like you are expecting the RTX...

Intel Updates Q1 2022 (GPU, CPU and Foundry)

    RTX 3050 - starting at $249 (msrp)

Depends on your definition of playability, a console like experience ie 30fps/1080p with RT on can be had with Cyberpunk, 6500XT, don't even bother unless you are a masochist.
