    Giganet FTTP

Figured it, looks like the Speedtest services use Maxmind for IP Geolocation. They have my current ipv4 address as TalkTalk and ipv6 as Giganet, which totally mirrors what's happening on Cloudflare and Speednet say the use Maxmind. Suspect it's this influencing latency results somewhat. My...

    Giganet FTTP

Can't really complain at this taken after the rest of the house had gone to bed from a wired connection

Erro Pro 6e as primary router

Ha yes, I can totally see that happening, Giganet are asking to schedule an appointment with an engineer sigh.

Erro Pro 6e as primary router

As long as there's no gotchas... Privacy concerns was the only one I could think of

Erro Pro 6e as primary router

I'd guess it probably would be tbh, but given my use case for me personally I think it's probably a step up from what I have. I'd have liked more ports and more configurability but I think my wife would balk at something with a bunch of ariels sticking off it where the ont resides. Equally am...

Erro Pro 6e as primary router

Perfect, cheers that's largely what I'd hoped. My two use cases are reliability to the extension via network cable and it was low latency to my Chromecast with Google TV so I could use Stadia reliably but given that's closing in a few weeks I'm not so bothered about retaining a cabled connection...

Erro Pro 6e as primary router

Anyone have any experience of the Eero Pro 6e? I'm coming to the end of my FTTP contract with TalkTalk (currently on their intro offer from when they launched full fibre which seems to have no CPI increase but am assuming I'll lose that). The service has been great, not had to call them once, I...

    Google Pixel 6/6 Pro

I did likewise yesterday for a Media Devil one too. If it worked one in 20 with the tempered glass one I'd be surprised. Works really well now...

    Google Pixel 6/6 Pro

I started off using a Caseology one I got with the Parallax case, and unfortunately the underscreen reader hardly worked at all. To be fair they've offered me a full refund. I took delivery of a Mediadevil Glassfree Magicscreen today and it's been flawless so far, very pleased.

    Google Pixel 6/6 Pro

I picked up the Caseology Parallax. It's a bit chunkier than I'm used to but quite liking it

    Google Pixel 6/6 Pro

Great so far for me, just one problem. I've applied a glass screen protector and I'm damned if I can get the fingerprint sensor to work. I added my fingerprint after applying it but it won't recognise it or says partial match. Never had any bother on my OnePlus 8

Google Stadia - CLOSING DOWN on 18th Jan 2023

Yes, they wouldn't have been my first choice, but the pricing is attractive and the 3 months free covers my exit from my existing ISP. They seem to have a decent support team, though surprised Open Reach have done the first visit yet.. I don't really need 500 Mb but why not, plus it'll give me...

Google Stadia - CLOSING DOWN on 18th Jan 2023

I decided to give Stadia a go a few weeks back, I've been gaming since the Vic20 days through the C64 and Amiga and onto the PC, but have given it up probably 12 years ago due to work and homelife commitments. It was more for curiosity having bought a new Chromecast which I wanted anyway. I...
