My most commonly used one is https://github.com/LeEnno/alfred-terminalfinder. Use it a lot every day to be honest. I also use Alfred snippets to do text expansion for things I commonly put in client reports. Saves typing out or copy/pasting.
We are actually about 90 mins from Astoria right now. Just stopped off in Tillamook. Then it’s Portland followed by Seattle. I wouldn’t say there has been any must-stops so far, just a lot of scenic coastal towns. If you want a chilled out road trip it’s nice. As you drop into Northern...
100%. Just from Seattle down to LA is ~1500 miles depending on route. Good chunks of those roads top out at 65mph and a lot are 55. Worth bearing in mind.
Down the coast (route 101 and 1), San Fran > Yosemite > Death Valley > Vegas > Hoover Dam > Whatever else.
Plan it out on google maps. Can’t imagine anyone else will do it for you, it’s a bit of work. Currently In Oregon on my third US road trip as it happens.
They also aren’t perfectly flat surfaces, so I would recommend against if you are using it for gaming. I ditched mine in the end. It’s a lovely finish though if you are just using it for productivity. For mouse tracking it was just too annoying but your mileage may vary. Reminds me, I still need...
No, the new one doesn’t, it’s continuous. My first one did though, but it was extra annoying because either the fan was knackered, or it was fouling the case as it moved. Sounded like a tractor
It’s not that it’s loud, it’s just audible. It’s more that fans have a shelf life, and it constantly being on is madness. It’s been on all today, although I do have eco mode off
My replacement turned up early. The noise making fan is sorted. However, on this one the fan is always on. Even if I push the power/standby button the fan stays on. That can’t be correct surely?
Still dont have a replacement for my knackered one. Was meant to arrive last week but UPS "lost" it. Now the next one is coming at the end of October
Seems to have been fixed by a panel refresh, but obviously if it does this every time it pixel refreshes, this is going to be a very short lived monitor this one is going back to Dell based on the faulty fan anyway, so I’ll just use it till that happens.
It ran its pixel refresh when i turned it on today and now I have a green line of pixels from the top to the bottom. Lovely stuff.

Tbh with you, I have gone from a 27" 1440p to this, so the PPI is basically identical. The fonts still look crap, even after various tweaks including the better font smoothing tools. I wouldnt use this for productivity/coding/whatever you do that isnt gaming.
So this is the noise mine is making, sat at the desktop https://www.dropbox.com/s/1hp82j4zgkzaqrx/aw3423.m4a?dl=0 - this is on my mac - nothing going on, room temp is low. It was also making this racket when i took my headphones off after gaming. I cant see the fan itself, but it sounds like its...
Are they meant to sound like they are clicking? I was expecting fan noise but it sounds like the fan is hitting something as it spins. If that’s normal, fair enough. Just trying to establish if I have a faulty unit.
