I was also think that after reading some comparison between the X4 and the X6 cpu. Would this Mobo be a better bet?

Best mobo I can find with SATA 6gb and USB3
Don't need a full setup really just didn't wanna lose the SLI, need raid too.
I need a beefy machine as I do "smash code" :-) and I'll probably play a few games at some point.
Looking to spend about 400 quid and I can't decide whether to go for an I5 or or a Phenom II X6.
So much choice for a mobo, would like SLI as I have 2 7900GTO's, I know they're oldish but I didn't want to replace them straight away. Not playing games much so I don't really need them...

That's exactly the same as the one I had, didn't come with any instructions so didn't have a clue how I was supposed to test anything other than the...
I might have to change my motherboard and it may mean losing SLI ability. What single card do I need to start looking at to get the same performance as the above. Obviously I'd like better but I need a starting point.
Thanks
I have been experiencing some random freezes in windows which once they've happend I can't get windows to boot from the XP screen or in safe mode. On some occasions removing hardware such as DVD/USB etc will let the PC boot into safe mode and I can do a system restore from which it will boot...
Not sure what if anything is wrong with it. Get randon crashes in windows which once they've happens windows won't boot. Can't boot into safe mode either, if I unplug some hardware it will boot into safe mode and do a system restore and it works again until it happens again.
Could be Mobo...
I think I have a dead motherboard, the one in the title.
What do you guys think is the best AMD/SLI upgrade at this point in time?
Obviously I'd rather not have to buy a new CPU and my 7900gto's have been running great in SLI.
Unfortunatley not.
Don't mind shelling out for a new hard drive as if it's not that at least I'll have extra storage. I've got a different PSU but it doesn't have any SLI connectors for my graphics card. I've already stripped any uneeded components out.
I've been having issues with XP freezing (mouse still moves) and freezing during boot. Once it freezes in XP it won't subsequently boot unless I reinstall window or do a system restore to a previous point from safemode, that's if it boots into safe mode.
I've kind of ruled out overheating cos...
Any .NET application can have a configuration file even a window service. The name are slightly different asp.net has web.config and other applications have app.config but they are both the same thing. you can even get you applcation to encrypt them so no one can read the values :-)
