FWIW the the 550D, partnered with a decently fast focusing lens, is perfectly good for shooting moving objects. I’ve used one to shoot a fair bit of motorsport over the past 18 months or so without problem.

I've got a couple of smaller Eizo monitors. They're amazing no doubt, but that one's £700, and I cannot see it being £300 better than the outgoing 24" Dell. And if you're spending 700, you might as well spend 820 for the 30" Dell. :D
So much advice depends on the type of game and players you're playing. Best thing to do is play your cards and position aggressively.

you have to contact microsoft for it after you purchase the 32-bit dvd, the same goes for any 64-bit retail version of vista sadly, not making life easy for us are they.
Another online retailer has updated their website and states that even the retail versions of vista ultimate doesn’t include the 64-bit dvd, just the option to contact MS for the upgrade.
