Would love recommendations for a new mouse

Thank for the input. They're both on offer at the moment with the G502 only £7 more than the MX518 so cost isn't really a factor. I'm likely not going to need all of the features of the G502 but I suppose I'm intrigued to see what it can offer. For reference I'm currently using the Logitech...

Would love recommendations for a new mouse

Just to jump into this discussion as I'm possibly in the market for a new mouse but I've noticed that they've re-released the MX518. I used to love that mouse so I wonder whether it's a viable alternative as I would probably be leaning towards the G502 (especially as it's currently on offer)...

Why have even older cards disappeared?

Just to add to the RX580 discussion, I've had the card in my system for a week now and can't say that I'm that disappointed with it, only the price I paid I suppose. I've paired it with a 100Hz UWQHD and for the games I play I'm more than happy as there was no way I could have survived much...

Why have even older cards disappeared?

I was in a similar situation myself. Up until November I was running a Red Dragon 5600XT but since purchase in March I had been having no end of crashing issues and no amount of driver updates or Windows installs would fix it. I requested an RMA from the competitor I bought it from and it 'got...

Which brand CPUs does your company/employer work with?

We use thin clients for 95% of our estate with a limited number of desktops deployed where a thin client couldn't work and laptops for loan purposes mostly Dell. These devices are all Intel (so around 15-20 devices) and mostly Dell. Before lockdown hit and we knew that a lot more staff needed...

    Ryzen ClockTuner

As part of my crashing issues I had actually disabled the PBO in the BIOS so I assume it's still disabled now, looking in RM it's just set to Default and not in PBO mode. I struggled to find the LLC section in my BIOS as it is in basic mode, it goes up to 10 I think so set it to required value...

    Ryzen ClockTuner

I'm using the latest chipset drivers for my motherboard and the Ryzen High Performance power plan. The following is the read out from RM:

    Ryzen ClockTuner

Running stock voltage and clocks it is able to hit around 4.050Ghz across all the cores with a maximum voltage in HWinfo of 1.413 with a maximum temp of 74 degrees. If I limit the voltage to 1.3 and the clocks to 3.9Ghz I see no higher than 64 degrees.

    Ryzen ClockTuner

Hey there, I'm using a B450 Mortar Titanium and I've got a Raijintek Ereboss cooler with AM4 adapter plate. Temperatures all seem pretty good when under full load but have wondered about upgrading the cooler as I bought it for my old 4670k.

    Ryzen ClockTuner

I've now run this on my release day 3600 and it looks to be a poor clocker. It is rated as Bronze and when I run a diagnostic test of 4050Mhz at 1.3v thread #13 falls down. As a result it says run 3900MHz at 1.275v, undervolt 3750MHz at 1.175. I'm a little disappointed however the big thing I...

    The AMD Driver Thread

Just to add my 2p to the discussion regarding the 20.9.2 drivers. They seem good to me so far and I've not seen a single crash yet with my 5600XT..... BUT With this installation I have done the full software install with the Adrenaline software but I've disabled Freesync completely and also...

    The AMD Driver Thread

Just a quick update from me and my 5600XT. I'm still having black screen lock ups and crashing even after the changes/remediation methods I tried which included disabling/removing my keyboard software, unplugging the USB cable to the monitor and changing DP ports on the graphics card itself...

    The AMD Driver Thread

Thanks for this post, Phixsator, I'm giving this a go now as I had a lock up yesterday morning when in a web conference and also random other black screens. The black screen issue is a weird one as it only affected my main monitor and if I switched it off and then back on again it would burst...

[AMD] What brand has the best GPU

I have always gone for Sapphire in the past however on this occasion I went for Powercolor purely for the price difference. If I had waited a couple of months then the price difference would have been neglible and, based on reviews, I would have probably gone for the Sapphire however I'm more...

    The AMD Driver Thread

I'm running 20.7.1 on my 5600XT and so far I've not experienced any black screens so I'm hoping that it's fixed it, not noticed any crazy temperature or fan speed spikes either. I'll have to do some more testing as I have a 24hr gaming session going on next week for charity and can't be doing...

    Radeon 5600 XT owners club

Not many of us in here but I'll add my name to the list as I've owned my Powercolor 5600 XT Red Dragon since around March time. I'm still trying to get to grips with the odd crash etc but the performance for me has been fantastic running at 1080p paired with a Ryzen 3600.

Reading that Samsung SSD's are overpriced...

That's a really good insight into that model of drive EsaT, thank you.

Reading that Samsung SSD's are overpriced...

I've now got a mixture of Corsair (NVMe), WD (NVMe) and Samsung (SATA) in my desktop with the Samsung being the oldest drive of the three. Personally I'm not fussed on the brand nowadays however in the past I would look at the Samsung offerings first. I had a Samsung Evo 840 500GB drive fail on...

Corsair Force NVMe PCIe M.2 240GB - slow?

It was definitely a bit of a strange one and not something I have seen before but glad it's running at its rated speeds now. I wasn't sure how all of the other figures stacked up but I certainly can't complain about the speed and don't appear to be having any NVMe issues that some other Ryzen...

    Final Fantasy VII - "Remake"

Cheers for the link, it's still active now and I've just downloaded it. Currently on my 2nd playthrough on the game on Standard and will then look at taking on Hard difficulty. Overall I've found the game fantastic and enjoying it again during this new playthrough and using some of the...
