Batteries in modern laptops are not easily removable. Most if not all laptops have the facility to only charge the battery to 60% to preserve its life when the laptop is normally powered from the mains.

I've used Sandisk Extreme Pro for as long as I've used digital cameras and not had a failure. However, I wasn't prepared to pay their prices for USB II cards and have moved to Sony M series which seem to be a decent alternative.

There's a huge thread dedicated to the Legion 5 Pro (plus any others that crept in) and there aren't many reports of problems. I have one that's just coming up to three years old. I keep thinking about replacing it but can't really justify it as it's still working perfectly.

Same here - I have an ET-2204 which I'm very happy with but it's too much over budget for the OP.

Seems good apart from the lowest leg sections which are a spindly 14.7mm. Consider the Sirui ST-124 which is around the same price and has 17.5mm lowest leg sections. The downside is you lose the horizontal centre column.

I'm after an unmanaged 8-port 2.5 Gbe switch. The obvious one seems to be the TP-Link TL-SG108-M2 so does anyone have any experience with this switch? Are there better alternatives? TIA
