My master socket was behind my TV cabinet. When I was having issues with my DSL connection I uncovered a high number of errors with the ISPs router near the TV. Turned out that I had a doggy power brick for one of the MANY devices connected in that area. Moving the router across the room made a...
I wasn’t actually thinking that I should personally qualify, merely wondering if lower barriers should apply to buyers - after all you need someone to sell your previous generation kit to when you upgrade to the latest. Benji’s response explained one reason why a decent barrier is needed for...
My Gigaclear install booked for Wednesday - first 6 months free, free standard install.
Standard underground install is clearly possible but Gigaclear are set on on overhead install for my road
Overhead install is going to understandably upset good neighbours whose garden it will cross, but I...
I would welcome the opportunity to buy from established forum members and if I did so then I would no doubt be able to form a view about the seller by looking at their posts in the forums. I understand the rationale for limiting who can sell in the forum but wonder if a lower barrier could be...
I like the idea that something that quick, simple and cheap might help. Will give it a go though as you say, a long shot. Wouldn't the CMOS return to to factory defaults if there battery was flat - same as I tried to get it to by resetting bios (shorting out the pins).
I am not sure if I will...
I just checked. Whilst my advice was good for functions like MATCH, VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP which need to match data type (number or text), COUNTIF/SUMIF make no distinction so your problem is most likely extra spaces or special characters at the beginning or end of the "number". For spaces...
Probably your issue is that some of your numbers are numbers and some are text. Unless you need to do maths on them then you should convert them all to text, especially if you have leading zeros in some of them.
To convert to text select a single column then Data>>Text to Columns>>...
We built a new PC for my son at Christmas. It's has been working fine until last weekend. He brought the PC base unit home (carefully packaged and handled) where we connected it to my second monitor using leads that I had. This connected to different ports on the graphics card. It took a...
I assume that
(A) each name only appears once on each sheet
(B) each name appears on every sheet.
(C) the time is in a suitable numeric/time format
If those assumptions are not right then these solutions will need tweaking.
Option1 Restructure your data and use a pivot table:

I think I may not have been clear. I am sure that I will free up a licence if I do it the right way.
I have an existing retail* copy of Win10 on 'the hardware' so I imagine that I can move it to a new pc.
I can install a clean copy of Win10 on "the hardware" today using my Win 7 OEM...
I just realised that I have not upgraded all my licences.
I have a Win7 OEM licence. I believe that this is linked to the motherboard and CPU both of which I still have in use.
However on that PC I think I did a clean install of Win 8.1 and then 10 based on a non-OEM license. The product...
So Christmas being Christmas we didn't move on until this morning. We tried the paperclick test http://support.antec.com/support/solutions/articles/1000015319-is-my-power-supply-dead-the-paperclip-test (with a fan connected to ensure that there was a load) and the power supply and fan worked...
No lights, absolutely no sign of life. I guess I could take power supply out of my desktop. Only ome lying around is probably not up to the job for his spec - Unless it is worth trying with his graphics card not powered - just to see if we get an ettempt to post.
My son's pc has been working fine, including earlier this am. However he came back to it and it was off. We cannot get it to show any sign of life. Swapped out power cable (and checked it works). Shorted out the Terminals on Front panel header - no sign of life at all.
So, what should we...
To solve a number of issues I was having I moved to the free (and advert free) version of Zoho mail, configured it to use my business domain. I am not saying that Outlook.com cannot be made to do what you want. But there are other free email solutions out there :)
To try to fix the data you have already uploaded:
Select the column containing the barcodes
Data==>Text to Columns ==> Delimited, Tab (or some other character that will not exist in the column.
Then at the next step configure as Text
To import new data make sure that you use that same...
