You can try SoftTH. (http://www.kegetys.net/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=58948049e7820ea07d68a313b4d3b9ea&topic=2123.0) It's not as fast as Eyefinity but it allows to use different monitor and even to crop the image, so you can keep the same aspect ratio in all the screens. I got a 22+26+22...

8 pin Vs 4 Pin ATX CPU power supply on P67 boards

As far as I know, 8-pin "Processor Power Connector" part of the new EPS12V spec was introduced to provide two separate 12V rails for the CPU (redundant power) It was designed for servers, but, if it's included in the motherboard design, I guess there must be a reason, maybe if one of the 12V...

8 pin Vs 4 Pin ATX CPU power supply on P67 boards

I don't think you need one, you can put a 4 pin into a 8 pin. The P8P67 I got here allows the use of 4 pin in the 8 pin (it is also documented in the manual). But, if you plan the overclock, maybe it would give you more stability to have a 8pin one.

The sandy bridge motherboards replacement begins

It works. You have the option of 8 Pin or 4 Pin connector, just use the 4 socket away from the memory. The manual explains how to do it.

    another dual monitor q!

If you are using ATI, you should be able to create your own resolutions (including refresh rate) changing the registry key for custom resolutions [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video\{658E8B87-1581-4D24-B17D-88BE5C4F6BA1}\0000...

Using "unsupported" (actually is supported) resolution on monitor.

You can try something like PowerStrip, is a tool that allow you to create custom resolutions but I'm not sure it would work with a GMA 965. I've used in the past to get my 1024x576 projector but only with an NVIDIA card. With ATI is easier just to change a key in the registry.

    Forcing a screen res (Vista)

Google for "DALNonStandardModesBCD1" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video\{F3C17C5A-3858-44E6-BA16-C8AF22E8A3AA}\0001] F3C17C5A-3858-44E6-BA16-C8AF22E8A3AA} been the id for my 4850. "DALNonStandardModesBCD1" is one of the registry keys that holds the available resolutions...

I went for a cheap 4850 graphics card,

Got one of this cheap ATi last week. I'm impress how cool it is, on load it never went over 35 and idle around 29. It's not a reference card, and I believe Palit had redesign it to make it cheaper and cooler :) Couple of pics: Rigth now playing FC2 1680x1050 all in Ultra, no...

Asus MW221U 22" Ghosting in games.

I will try to find a normal vga cable to test how it looks without DVI. I've check that forum page with explorer on Vista, and nothing weird around the "ill" The test looks sharp and clear (even better than on XP 8) Don't worry, [email protected] is not my real email address, hope nobody got...

Asus MW221U 22" Ghosting in games.

I don't understand what kind of research they've done, if you follow this thread is quite clear that as soon as ASUS UK found a fix for the problem, they contact us to get our monitors repaired. This is the email I received from Vasco (He is gone :( ) - - - -- - - -- - - -- - - -- - -...

Asus MW221U 22" Ghosting in games.

that sucks!!!! Maybe they are using different settings in their windows machine. I wonder if making a avi video of the box page showing the ghost would help them to understand what they're suppose to look for. I'm happy to include anything you guys think in that page, if it...

    Quick resolution question

You can also force the frequency in your graphics card settings, so even if the game tried to set a higher frequency not supported by your tft, you would be able to get in the game and change the settings. In Nvidia is "Refresh Rate Overrides", no idea with ATI

Updated the page with your values :) Also, I've included the last avi file showing the problem, hope that also helps the support guys to reproduce the problem. The settings in the control panel are just for the nvidia graphic, they don't overwrite the values in the monitor. If you...

Asus MW221U 22" Ghosting in games.

Hi there. With the firmware upgrade I can't see any yellow ghost at all, I tried also with a different set of colors (more black, less gray) and still no ghost. When i was writing that page, i did test it at work with some other TFT's (IBM) and with some laptops, and neither of them showed...

Asus MW221U 22" Ghosting in games.

After the firmware fix, there is no ghost at all when the boxes are moving around, or if you drag and move the window manually, everything looks perfect. There is also no ghosting with the .avi videos. When changing between ON/OFF I can't see any flicking, I remember it used to do it with the...

Asus MW221U 22" Ghosting in games.
