That just slowness didn't reach to emptying battery speed, which was rather shocking after Xperia Z3 Compact.
Though what I looked at the time of purchase, both even older S7 and newest S9 would have both had even worser battery runtime than S8...
Still figuring out the simplest and least...
Got Xiaomi 14 today to upgrade from Galaxy S8.
Obviously haven't had much time yet and only been doing basic setting up etc and now getting ready to move data into it.
But so far feels good from physical aspects and such.
From specs I was expecting to be bigger to handle...
But with rather...
That would be indeed well equipped compact option, if you're not much into cameras.
With Sd8 Gen2 it certainly has the performance and battery life should be good.
Headphone jack is nowadays very rare with also Samsung having removed it...
No doubt to sell their wireless buds just like everyone else.
And wireless charging is artificially limited to pretty much flagship/high end phones to force people into buying more expensive model.
Also that works...
Forgot to mention that looking for local/nearby astronomy club would be good thing to do.
They migth have someone upgrading to bigger telescope, or downsizing because of getting old, giving second hand options.
At the least that could give chance to see telescopes and how they're used in real...
Optical quality wise there should be little difference.
Mass production of parabolic mirrors is routine nowadays and f/8 focal ratio is very easy for accurate manufacturing.
Accessories and features is where differences start.
For example Bresser has very good altitude axis implementation...
That will get 6" Dobson.

If you think that looks nasty, you better hope you won't meet Eagle Owl...
Though actually it's the gentle looking Ural Owl you have to be more worried about:
They're known to defend their nest often agressively, including attacks aimed at face...
So what do those signs say?
Some non-benchmarks/real world use comparison of battery life here between S23 and both Snapdragon and Exynos S24 variants. Though still with very significant amount of Wifi use instead of just mobile data:

With more mobile data use and longer...
A-serie usually has big battery.
Though cheaper parts don't always have that good energy efficiency.
Pixels use variations of Samsung's Exynos chipsets. Meaning not good battery life etc.
Might want to look for Galaxy S23.
It might fit to that £500 limit.
Now it's correct.
S23 serie was exception in using Qualcomm's parts globally.
S23 FE again stand for Fake Edition and uses S22's Exynos 2200 chipset known from not good battery life.
Well, some no doubt excessively high salary designers/design consultants have to justify existence of their job with something...
So we keep going between slippery piece of soap and rough angular square.
Nope.
That model is called Chinese/US S24. ;)
(physical differences have really been minimal since S22)
S23 being Snapdragon everywhere propably happened at all when some bean counter was in high fever.
If you want Gen 3 Snapdragon in "compact" (if we can talk about such anymore) flagship...
Effect is also known as parallax:

There's no way to avoid that with multiple cameras for closer targets and only direction varies depending on if cameras are horizontally or vertically.
GSMArena's phone finder finds lots of phones with IPS screen:
https://www.gsmarena.com/search.php3
Though pretty sure all are lower end/at best mid end phones.
You should test what it uses as replacement for different people.
Might make for interesting family portrait... :p
Have seen example of it having removed car only to put concrete traffic barrier in its place.
So it's still possible that Exynos 2400 isn't really any more efficient than last...
Looks definitely like great overall package with top level chipset, big (for phone size class) battery and top level camera configuration below big size phones.
I'm myself looking upgrade options from Galaxy S8, whose Exynos chipset sucks absolutely ridiculous 1% per hour for doing nothing but...
