Brilliant; Thank you guys.
I'll have a trawl through the members market and keep my eyes peeled in case any pop up =]
Is it worth looking on auction sites? I notice a lot of components tend to sell only a fraction less than buying new on them.
So something like this would work...
Yeah, 2nd hand is fine by me.
2500k bundle and 290 created a whoosh noise around my head =P
290 im guessing is a type of card and 2500k ram? Seriously, it's been so long, 2011 was probably the last time i was remotely upto date on things.
It's a 650w PSU =]
EDIT: So a simple google revealed...
Hi everyone!
So I used to be a fairly active member of this community when I was younger;
Had huge amounts of help building and fixing PCs over the years from everyone...but then you get busy with life and other things take priority.
I now have no idea what i'm doing! It's been so long...
Hellooo.
My copper head has started acting up, its double clicking on a single click, so i decided it's time to buy a new one.
When i go to look i cant find anything, no stock on sites or stores
Then i find out its discontinued.
Does anyone have one or have any suggestions for mice...
Im willing to spend £200 extra on it so it fits inside my back pack and onto my music rig. I really have no space atm, and i can probably get a fair bit back off my current parts.
I just found a strip down video online and it takes full double sized cards. Im seriously considering it. All the...
Or have a job and no space in a tiny ass flat lol.
As a system, and looking at how games seam to have hit a stand still in terms of advancement, cost aside, is this a good system? How long do you think it will run games on full at 60fps before needing an upgrade?
What would people's views be on this?
Im needing to shrink down, and this would be a perfect size. Is there anything commercialy available this size? Im thinking about the i7 (top model), what would that cost in parts to anyone?
Ok.
So i managed to get a few quid so which of these two would you recommend?
Im pushing the extra £15 on the geforce because i know im going to be buying batman when it comes out, so this is saving me £15 anyway, but is it better or worse then the ati...
So is there no bonus to nvidia over ati?
Heard something about different features and such?
Also how do the numbers for nvidia work now? I know that ati is 1st number is generation, then basicly how far through its cycle it is and the last one (forget about the 0) is how good the chip is. So a...
Well the voltage regs in the 4890 over heat on anything more than tf2 =/
I usually play crysis, bought Deus Ex and dead rising 2 but all are killing it.
Hello.
My current card is an ati 4890, and that was about the last time i looked at graphics cards, now its on the verge of death im looking to upgrade but im lost.
Ive been told i should maybe switch to nvidia as they have better support from games/less problems with games, but the last time...
Ive got a spare 120mm fan, should i just zip tie it on then? Should i plug it straight onto a molex and have it going full hog, or is there away of connecting a normal fan to the graphics cards fan power as it has a different connector.
Its an artic cooling cooler, the fanless one. I hadnt fitted the cooling on the voltage regs correctly, like an idiot. It works for TF2 but its getting a little too hot for other games, im going to buy the silent fans for it, only £5.
I didnt think id need fans as my case keeps all other...
Ok. i just ran a log on gpu-z and the temps didnt change when it crashed, it just crashed after about 5 seconds of it running.
The gpu core clock dropped from a constant 500 to 240 though
Ok, running my flat mates 4870 in my pc and its fine, no problems. His goes upto 90 on furbar...
Hi guys.
My psu blew the otherday so i bought a new one. My system only needs 500w to run but i bought 650w to be safe.
While i was there i picked up a new cooler for my graphics card as the fan as been noisy as hell for ages and it went out of 2 year warranty a week or so ago.
I replaced it...
