    Gtx1660ti Vs rtx2060 (laptop)

I have the FX505DV (3750H and RTX 2060) and the CPU does seem to be the bottleneck in a few games but im still happy with it. Performance wise theres hardly any difference between the 1660ti mobile and rtx 2060 mobile as they are pretty much on par (apart from RTX having ray tracing ability but...

    ASUS TUF FX505DV Benchmarks

Yes mines new and under warranty (obviously not under warranty anymore due to modding the cooling but its a risk some of us take). Those temps are good if on stock paste. My stock paste job was terrible and temps were hitting 95+ on cpu and around 88-90 on gpu, replaced with thermal grizzly at...

Nvm mate I got it running 144hz using auto lcd standard timings :) replaced paste for LM on both CPU and GPU and added Gelid GP-Extreme 1mm pads to replace that gunky stuff they use on the chips. Well happy now :)

    Streaming issues

Following one of the Windows 10 updates in the past (think it was a feature/big update) it changed the way that GPU prioritisation works. On Windows 7 and/or earlier versions of Windows 10, when steaming, the stream would consume as much resource needed to ensure smooth streaming and the...

Laptop RAM replacement - Help needed - thanks!

You can stress test the RAM after fitting it to ensure of stability but should be fine mate. Nothing bad gonna happen if they don't work, may just fail to boot up or cause system crashes/freezes but should be fine :)

are gaming laptops only meant to use Dedicated gpu when plugged in?

Usually detects which GPU to use automatically but if it doesn't detect correctly you can set it by adding it in Graphics Settings in Windows 10.

System died, bought new parts today at OC died again

Have you enabled XMP and/or manually set your RAM frequency and timings? Sounds like a possible timing issue to me if its all set to AUTO.

System failed to start after attempting to install an extra RAM Stick - Have I broke something?

Hi mate, Are the sticks the same model/brand? if not then they likely run using different timings, if so you may need to manually fiddle around with the speeds, voltages and timings to find a sweet spot that suits both modules...

BSOD Troubleshooting since Vega 64 upgrade

Id say the hotspot temp of 91c is too high and likely the cause as the card is probably getting unstable. Create a custom aggressive fan curve to keep it in check and see if that makes any difference mate. I have the same card and my hotspot temp does not exceed 75 with the card...

The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

Vega clocks do fluctuate slightly under load, just the way it is. I have the same card and disabled p7 (dont see the point in 2 performance states but please elighten me if im mistaken!) So run p6 as max state 1672 @ 1085mv with a +50% power limit and a custom aggressive fan curve results in...

Sapphire Vega 64 NITRO+ Coil Whine

I got the same card recently and the coil whine is the worst I have ever heard on any cards that I've owned, but it seems to be performing fine so we shall see. Im using an EVGA 750w GQ PSU so im not entirely confident that the PSU is the cause of the whine...

AMD BLACK FRIDAY: MASSIVE DISCOUNTS ON VEGA & RX PLUS RX 590 IS HERE & UPTO THREE GAMES FREE !!!

My Vega 64 Nitro+ turned up today! :) great stuff. Any idea why no app can detect the GPU fan speeds? Meaning I cannot create any custom fan curves...every program I try says GPU fans are running 0% although they are spinning? Tried the latest version of Afterburner and TriXX...
