NVME or Solid State for gaming?

I have a 2TB SSD and a 2TB NVMe for my games and I really do not notice any difference between the two when gaming.

I played, completed and really enjoyed 3 on the PS4, but I just cant get into 4 on the PC via Gamepass - would I maybe enjoy it more moving to a controller?

    Opinions on Car Change

Thanks for all the replies and discussion, I've slept on it and chatted with my mate (who originally was just like yeah do it) and the main reasons given for not changing are what my mind has gone to. I would need to spend more than I want to (not more than I could) to get something newer...

    Opinions on Car Change

I thought the first response would say that, and makes complete sense to me. I think its mainly previously I hadn't ever owned a car for more than 3 years, but had also never paid more than about £5k total out before I got the M135i. It is probably best to stick with it, it does still put a...

    Opinions on Car Change

I currently drive a 64 plate M135i with 62000 miles on it. I have had it for about 8 years now and am contemplating a change as I just have that itch to change. I am interested in a TT, and with my car and my spare cash I would have about £18k to spend (mine is showing about £9-10k trade in...

    Rent arrears interest calculation?

    3) After 14 days, is the interest rate chargeable from day 1 or day 14? From what you wrote, the interest would chargeable from day 1. So if you pay at day 13 you have no interest to pay, but if you then dont pay and the 14th day is reached you would have to pay interest on the full 14 days.

    New sofa

I have another sofa in my office that is also from DFS and came with the fibre cushions that were rubbish within about a year. I ended up buying the foam from ebay for about £100 to replace them myself. Not as good as original foam in them, but a good way to extend a fibre cushion...

    New sofa

The 2 seater large is under 2m which was how tall my door frame inner was, but the 3 seater was 202cm, and as i couldn't lean it in anyway to make the "height" lower that was why I had an issue. There were no issues with getting it in the front door as it could be angled to make it lower and if...

    New sofa

I think it was about 7 weeks. Just make sure you don't do what I do and order the 3 seater after measuring the doorframe and confirming the large 2 seater would fit through. Was a lot of fun when it was delivered and it wouldn't fit in the door and couldn't be angled because of the nature of...

    New sofa

My current is from DFS, just make sure you get the foam cushion add ons and not the standard fibre and they will last ages. My mum also has a DFS with Foam cushions and it looks almost like new even 12 odd years later. We both have variations on this - https://www.dfs.co.uk/zana/aaz13asms

    Insured or Not?

Adding commuting to the policy probably wouldn't have cost more than about a tenner as well. I occassionally have to use my personal car to travel to customer sites or other offices and just added on business use - think it added about £20 last year to my policy cost

Those of us on the "throw a lap in where the desktop rig was" crusade - connectivity options?

    It's this one - https://www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/dell-thunderbolt-dock-wd22tb4/apd/210-bdtd/docks - but we only used 60hz screens.

Those of us on the "throw a lap in where the desktop rig was" crusade - connectivity options?

You want a dock everything can connect to and then a single USB-C cable from that to your laptop. This is what we use at work - dual monitors, keyboards, mice, network all connected to the dock and then a single usb-c into the laptop to charge it and give it the connections. We use Dell ones.

Noob Question? why do some laptops have 2 Gpu's ?

Im going to assume one is the iGPU and one is the discreet GPU. It allows for lower power consumption in non graphic intensive areas (like desktop) as it can use the iGPU for this and not the main GPU. Might be worth a read - https://jarrods.tech/what-is-a-mux-switch-for-gaming-laptops/
