Yeah.....I last posted in 2010 and have a grand total of 25 posts to my name. Well that's actually not a bad idea to attempt to get cards in to the hands of people that actually want to use them and not put them straight on ebay.

I have been on a pair of Grado SR325i and SR60's since 2007 and used to get regularly accused of cheating as the combination of these and the X-Fi CMSS card at the time was giving me scarily accurate sound positioning.

Likely the amp section needs a service. I'd wager the caps... I had a pair of these around 2002 and they were pretty damn good. I have since upgraded several times and am on my second pair of Audioengine A2+ which are stupendously good for their size and price.

The HM hands down for me for anyone still on the fence. It's shrunk over the past 18 months...... :) but still supremely comfortable!

A decent set of audiophile cans is also far and away the best option when it comes to surround sound. There is absolutely no set of 5.1 cans that can best my Grado/Beresford/CMSS combo. None, Nada, Zilch! I have heard most 5.1 solutions and they pretty much all suck.

Both good I own both, the 7510 is a 6/4 version and the 7520 has a LM4562 + THS4032 upgrade on the opamps which make it sound amazing. I use it with some SR325i's and the detail they deliver is fantastic!

They are definately designed with brute force and ignorance in mind, they go insanely loud and suit movies and gaming well and dont sound too bad with music if your tastes are closer to the Prodigy than Bach. I am selling a set though if anyone is interested?

The Graham Slee amps are quite expensive, good but expensive! Your best bet if you have the cash would be to use the X-FI for its processing abilities and use the digital output. The standard card uses a fairly ropey array of caps and opamps which make the X-FI cards sound average at best...
