Just an update...looked at the motherboard and I found a fried SLUG on it!!! Found one on a popular bidding site for £125 and all working now!
Thank you all for your input and advice. Appreciate it! Have covered perimeter of house and around washing machine with slug pellets!
Tried the insulator test as suggested by @Mr.Cookie with a multimeter. No issues there.
Inclined to believe @darael machines repair just ain't what it used to be =(
Ah yes ok I've seen in drills before too. I suppose helps make the machines more silent and economical? Nevertheless, seems like a whole motor replacement then(!)
Thank you so much for your responses. Was a basic solution but didn't come across any of this stuff so thank you.:)
Uploaded a few more pics below. The wires go in the housing. I'm convinced the brushes must be in the housing but why would they fix with immovable 'rivets'?!
Thanks for response bremen1874. I should've mentioned that I opened that black cover and there's nothing under there. It appears to just cover the other end of the rotary mechanism?
Hi all. I've got a Hoover DXP410AIB3 washing machine for about 4 years now. It stopped working about a week ago...drum doesn't spin. The drive belt is fine. Contacted Hoover customer services and some Internet research..everything points toward the carbon brushes which are supposed to be located...
I really do apologise for the massive mistypo there! Meant to write put in a new 3 amp fuse not 13! Not a professional by any means but even I have that much common knowledge lol.
Once again, thanks.
Thank you for your input all. Bought a multimeter at the weekend and it was the fuse in the end.
The 3amp fuse was in the switch when the issue occurred so I understand this. Don't understand why the 5amp fuse is blown though as I put this in after?
Nevertheless, put in a 3 amp fuse on...
Reconnected stuff with switches off. Just to clarify, I switched everything off before i unhooked and reconnected it all. Once everything was reconnected that's when i switched everything back on and that's when i assume the live and neutral wires must've touched each other.
Hi all. Seems like a simple fix just need some advice. I was fixing LED strips in the kitchen today. The switch in the kitchen is a 2-gang which powers the LED strips and the ceiling lights.
There are 3 seperate LED strips to go around the kitchen, each connected to an LED driver and power...
That's the part where I'm being difficult. I don't want to have to hide any cabling in any way. Made the big unfortunate mistake of not running an aerial cable to the media cabinet.
Hi all. Apologies if this query already exists. I have my indoor aerial connected to my TV and placed on the window. Reception and picture are both great. However I'd like to hide the wires for the aerial behind the TV. But of course if I place the aerial behind the TV there is interference in...
Unfortunately haven't worked for me hence why I am seeking help into other options. Hopefully someone has a different experience.
When you say you were successful with the Remote Play app on a non-Sony phone, this was on the official Remote Play app from the Play Store? Forgive my naivety but...
