Yes good point, I'll contact them to make sure I don't void the warranty if i flash the BIOS. If I do it makes the decision to return the system quite an easy one. For that reason I would expect them to say I don't void the warranty.

I suppose I could return it yes, but the thought of packing the thing back up again, taking time of work to arrange for pick up then being without a pc again doesn't really fill my with joy.

I managed to get my A00 revision swapped for a A01. Thanks for the advice! Screen looks a bit brighter / shaper and the lag does seem to be way less. I actually won a game of COD! Cheers.

I think you need dual link for 120hz screens?

Just got this from the place i got the monitor: "Hi Daniel, Thank you for your enquiry! The revision you speak of is a hardware revision and not a piece of software which can be updated. This is not something Dell cover under its warranty, so I am unfortunately unable to suggest a solution...
