Just saw the A380 fly over my work place!

But if it is pointing towards Heathrow/London, does that not mean it will have to do a 90 degree turn? Im pretty sure that Farnborough's runway is pointing the same way as the A380 was oriented....or am I getting confused? :p

It's flying through the London TMA, straight in approaches are practicaly non-existant. It could do about 20 turns before it makes an approach:p If it was low enough for you to read the markings too it is even more likely that it was Farnborough bound as the lowest level available in the Ockham hold for Heathrow which is just north of Guildford is FL90 or 9000ft today which is a bit high to be able to read the markings.
