4870x2 at ocuk

I just ordered a 4870 512mb + AC S1 Rev 2 this will tide me over for now.

And yes I do need 125fps+ constant. Not big fps gamers are you? Believe it or not you can jump further with 125fps in COD4 and anything below 100 feels laggy.

Im like that aswell,if im not at around 250 fps constant even in heavy combat,i find it laggy and have to leave.

the thing is it microstutters and has problems in crossfirex so the 280 imo is a better buy

Microstutters imo isnt that noticable, ive head all about it on the 3870x2 yet rarely have i ever noticed it. Its a momentary hiccup and in the games ive played ive not seen it happen yet.

SLI'd 280's should still pull away shouldn't they??

I just want the most power I can get!! (except triple SLI 'cos I hate vista)

have you even used a 48xx series card in crossfire or just repeating what you heard somewhere else?

i've had crossfire on 38xx and 48xx series and the 48xx is like playing on a single card.

ill order one tomorrow because im going to be out most of tomorrow so i wont be here to collect :( but etleast that way i can see some user comments first from people whov baught one :D

Out of the ATI partners (powercolor, Gigabyte etc etc) do any of them have BFG style RMA service ?

I've been burned with sapphire before and will never go back, but what about the rest ?

LOAM

Is BFGs RMA very good? Have been struggling with my 8800GTX since buying it last year. Temps close to 80°C with fan pushed to 92% via RivaTuner. Have been thinking about RMA'ing it for a while but keep putting it off. Was waiting for today's releases but prices don't quites grab me enough yet.
