RoEy Watercooled Build Log

Can't believe I missed the start of this. I'm now in the opposite situtation as I have everything *except* the case, which is still at the powdercoaters.

I got an EK-supreme block the other day, and it came with both the old-style and the 1366 mountings, with the 1366 one mounted.

LOL Crash!

Alright mate? Hope all is going well with yours. I'm looking at the Koolance 350 for the cpu waterblock plus the new Koolance water block for the GTX285 is out in a few weeks.

Update...

Ordered the MDPC-X Psychopack sleeving kit and I was doing a few practice runs last night on an old PC sleeving the ATX pins. I must have a knack at it as they came out like butter, all 20 on them.

Off to B&Q tonight to get some spray paint for the case screws. So I might give them a blast tonight or at the weekend and I'll post some pics when I'm done.

Hopefully should have case parts back from powder coaters tomorrow.

Thanks,

RoEy

Better safe than sorry, also try reading some of the horror stories on Xtreme Systems of Pro's where the things do get loose.

I myself have used 7/16 over 1/2 barbs and I can easily pull them off.

I prefer compression fittings.

But each to their own I guess.

i have - did you use dtek barbs?

you can pull it off on EK barbs

but the dtek ones dont move - thats why i mentioned them specifically

personally i would rather sellotape the tubing onto my components than use compression fittings

bitspower compression fittings are the only acceptable fittings to use :p

agreed about the d-tek or d-tek copied high flows with the arrow head design. ultimate barbs if you ask me when it comes to not using anything to secure the tubing.

its a fantastic case elmuzzy

but one thing to note
if you're air cooling you're most probably gonna need a fan mounted in the bottom drive bays as an intake for the gfx card, the way the stock fans work in the back and top, they dont get any fresh air to the gfc card and lower section of the board, something to bare in mind

if you're watercooling, buy this case and dont look back!

Music to my ears. Will go w/c but need the case to fit it all in. The TT Tsunami Dream is an awfull case and wish i never bought it.
Nice build RoEy

Cheers mate. I'll be uploading some updates on Monday. Ordering everything Thursday and building it over the weekend.

check my log for a few more pics of just how good this case is for watercooling :)

Stealing my members you hogger!:D
