Loads of beef mince, what can I do with it?

It's like one of those reality tv shows where they take 10 year olds and leave them in a house alone for the first time to fend for themselves and the kind of idiotic, barely describable as a meal concoctions they produce is mince and chips.

Go out with a mate, take the mince and some ketchup. Smear the ketchup all over him and scatter the mince on his chest, ideally when he is wearing a shirt that has been torn open.

Find a pedestrian road and lie him down to play dead, and crouch over him. When approached, eat the raw mince from his chest, then walk slowly towards the stranger and say 'braaaaaaaaaaaains'.

Or be boring and use it to cook.

That's quite disturbing!

I made the best chilli con carne I've ever tasted last night. Used my own home made chilli powder that is 10x better than store bought crap though.

Sounds like a lot of ingredients but tastes much better than the more basic chilli recipes.

500g lean mince
1 onion - diced
1 red pepper - diced
2 cayenne chillies - finely chopped (optional)
200ml red wine
3 cloves garlic - crushed or very finely chopped
1 tin red kidney beans
1 tin chopped tomato
1 tin peeled plum tomato
100g tomato puree
beef stock or an oxo cube
2 teaspoons chilli powder (use to taste)
1 heaped teaspoon cumin seeds - ground
1 teaspoon corriander seeds - ground
1 heaped teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon Hendersons relish (can use worcester sauce instead)
sprinkle of tobasco sauce
salt and pepper
cinnamon stick (optional)

Method:

Fry onions, chillies and red pepper until onions are golden. Add mince and fry until browned.
chuck in garlic, oxo cube and wine and simmer for a few mins.
add rest of ingredients and simmer gently for 30 mins.
