:p

Only areas where you could really drop are perhaps getting a AMD Athlon II Tri-Core and getting a cheaper cooler. Other than that I would be inclined to leave it as is if possible.

The MSI 5850 is cracking value and certainly right on the money for value. Get the £25.99 OCZ BlackOps RAM too as above.

Awesome :)
I'll probs buy everything this weekend except graphics card and get that when I have a little more money. Does the Motherboard have onboard graphics? Like enough to run windows 7 for a week or two while I get more money? Unless I sell notebook. then I can get straight away LOL.

yes its got onboard graphics.

a lot of those parts are on special offer until Wednesday morning.

I was told that a quad core is the best thing to get for what I plan to use for. and that the cooler will also sute it perfectly

Install the gpu, connect the power, all connectors ned to be used. Startup the PC and once windows is loaded install the drivers.

If your using the onboard first then uninstall the drivers before shutting down.

well you will be putting ati graphic drivers on for the onboard gpu, so no.

just download the newest drivers from ati.

use em for the onboard and the card.

Ok I'll be using the onboard for a week or two i should think. So then I go into drivers and uninstall the onboard one. (Wont that crash the PC?) Shut down, put Graphics card into slot and then start PC up? then once PC boots stick instalation CD in? and away we go?

You should be able to just install the card, connect the power to it, boot into windows and install from the internet, the drivers on the CD will be out of date and away you go. You may need to go into the BIOS to disable the onboard gpu.

Pretty much, the pc will not crash, you will probably have to suffer a strange screen res for a while.

I would download the latest drives from the ATI / AMD website.

Ok do you have a link to that? Sorry I told you I was a noob LOL.. I'm good at installing the stuff like hardware LOL. But when it comes to intalling drivers and acronims I'm not so good LOL

Ok so once PC starts up for first time sort all security out etc then download latest driver for onboard graphics (AMD site). Then once I have graphics card. Uninstall drive shut down PC then when I start PC up with graphics card go back onto ATI site and get lastest driver?
