Did you miss a bit?

Just to be clear it's £20 off Lappy and desktop 256gb 830 SSDs and £50 off Lappy and desktop 512GB 830 SSDs when purchased from any Samsung retailer or partner.

Also includes the "B" versions which are bare drives.

Thanks for heads up on the offer.

I want to get a Sammy 256gb SSD but was just interested as to what the difference between these two are:

I will be putting it into a desktop so assume I need the latter one. What are you getting for the extra £50?

your getting a very expensive ssd mounting bracket:D

There's no difference with the drives themselves so you can use the notebook version in a desktop.

The only difference is what accessories come with it in the box.

The "desktop" version includes a 2.5" to 3.5" bracket with screws and SATA data & power cables.

The "notebook" version inludes a SATA to USB adapter cable and a mounting spacer so that it fits in the space for 9.5mm thick disks.

Leave him alone he's retaking maths

LOL!!! :D:o

Purchases to be made from 15/8/12 to 30/9/12 - just my luck. ;) Got drive for £153 on offer I think. Is why I said £120 but it would have been £130. :P Maybe, I got to retake my maths! In my world half of 35 is 19.5. :P

Looks like you have to make the rebate claim between 30 and 45 days of the purchase (i.e. not before 30 days and not after 45 days) giving a 2 week window a month after the purchase .... I'd assume they are expecting a significant proportion of applicants will either forget or get the dates wrong (e.g. apply as soon as they purchase) so no rebate will be payable. Obviously assume UK students can't remember anything for more than 4 weeks!

N.b. cannot see the claim form yet so that may have an entry asking for name of college/university etc to establish "student" status though as commented before the T&Cs don't seem to mention any requirement though there is the usual statement that their decision is final and binding so they may use that to stop payments to non-students.
