With Multiplay 8man it has a default of 600mb ram, I intend on running Tekkit but the server would see max 5 ppl on a whitelist, would that work do ya think? works out £7.75 p/m with Mumble too.

I know this isn't in keeping with the threads topic so for that I apologise, you guys however seem the best to answer :p

For mods and 5 people you'd want more than that mate. Why not join this server or mine and save yourself money and hassle?
 
Possible Temporary Mac Workaround

This worked for me during testing so I believe it may work for now too.

First off, download Tekkit and set it to the most up to date version..log in and all that so it downloads everything.

Then go to the Tekkit mods folder where you normally would put the extra_mods.zip contents and delete everything.

Now download the LinkTart launcher and extract it. Copy the contents of the mod folder within there to the Tekkit mod folder.

I *think* this worked for me (on PC admittedly) when I was testing yesterday...so..give it a go :)

I have downloaded the missing Mod but it's still saying it's missing.

Put it in the Mods folder.....

Will now wipe Tekkit completely and start from scratch. This is extremely annoying :(
 
Right, ignore all that. Have renamed the mod and I'm connected to server - within 30 seconds - Crash!!!!!

This could be standard Tekkit 6 crash to connect type thing so will try it 5 more times and see.

I hate Tekkit.

Edit - 5th Attempt now.

Edit 2 - 6th Attempt - I'm in - working great.

anyone fancy a MineZ server?

I would certainly like to see this, especially if it doesn't take long to setup the server etc.
Mostly because the main server is now not worth me playing on :P

I quite like DayZ and I think MineZ might work nicely as you can play on your own or team up with people.

WorldEdit Snapshots first testing didn't go too well but we may be able to work around it. Maxi is working on it atm.

Dynmap *may* work next restart but if not there's another thing I can do to sort it.

I just watched some MineZ videos and it looks fudging awesome. I'll def get a server sorted as soon as I can.

I have a visitor staying for two weeks as of this evening so my time will be limited but I should get the odd hour or two here and there to sort it out.
