This worked for me during testing so I believe it may work for now too.

First off, download Tekkit and set it to the most up to date version..log in and all that so it downloads everything.

Then go to the Tekkit mods folder where you normally would put the extra_mods.zip contents and delete everything.

Now download the LinkTart launcher and extract it. Copy the contents of the mod folder within there to the Tekkit mod folder.

I *think* this worked for me (on PC admittedly) when I was testing yesterday...so..give it a go :)

Sorry to bring this up again...
Is there any chance of getting that 16x16x128 area back? From a backup or whatever?

Also, the 2nd pic is the only chest I have left (that wasn't eaten). But if I open it, the game kicks me out. I'm assuming there's an item in there that is no longer included in this new launcher?
Please advice?
 
tostring check you've got the most recent linktart client, I had a slightly older one and it kicked me out whenever I viewed a crafting table III (or tried to make one).

Just re-downloaded and tried, still kicked me. Internal exception: java.io.ioexception: bad packet id 118

So I literally have nothing atm. No power, no items. (Or at least the items I do have I can't access).

We'll definitely be trying to replace everything for you - at the worst it will be an admin spawning stuff whilst stood there with you so we can quickly replace everything you need.

The latest client is the one you've linked to. This link should always point to the latest 'stable' client.

If you like toString I can log in in 10 minutes and TP to you. I'll spawn you a ton of stuff that you lost and try to help you get back to where you are. If there's anything I can't do (I'm not an in game expert) then yrth or 5punkey should be able to help you out further later.

If that sounds good I'll log in as soon as I get back from buying a sandwich.
 
I would prefer if I could get my house back to how it was before if that's possible? I don't mind waiting a few days.

Otherwise I'll have to write a 'shopping list' as there is a LOT of stuff. Bearing in mind it took out about 8 dim chests of stuff and all the machines and piping on 3 levels below too.

We have world backups from before the move so if the new method of worldedit copy/replacing works we will be able to restore it. I've only just set support for the new method up (worldedit snapshots) so we'll be testing it today/tonight. If it works I'll begin work on importing the old backups to the new system and then we *should* be able to sort you out.

If it all fails though we might be stuck with the shopping list thing :( Or maybe we could do some kind of supervised creative mode for a little bit or something :s
 
I just suddenly thought, maybe I have some nether ores or crafting table 3 in that chest I have left? Maybe that would explain why I can't open it..

Sounds feasible. This may be a problem even if we do successfully restore things actually... Hmm...

Really don't get why Minecraft doesn't let people open it/see the items but they come up as "unsupported item id" or something :/
