Ever met anyone famous? Were they like what you expected?

Was happily reading and enjoying this thread until I saw the mono, I then proceeded to quickly scan through looking for quotes hoping it wasn't just me who had spotted this monstrosity.

Christ almighty man, how did you leave the house with that? Tell me it's gone now? :D

I have met Ricky from Eastenders at McDonalds drive through. Proper miserable guy, but that's probably because I popped my head in his window whilst he was ordering food.

Was waiting at a set of traffic lights, look to my left and its Johnathan Ross

He was in a convertible vintage merc, with the top down, puffing away on a massive cigar in a suit - looked well boss :D

I met Phil Bozeman from deathcore band Whitechapel after a concert. Was the only person out of the band who came out after the concert and talked to fans, had pictures took etc. He went up to the bar and started chatting with people but I had to leave unfortunately :(. Definitely didn't appear as you'd expect, especially considering his appearance and stage presence.

Guy Martin, nothing like he is on tv.Think he just wanted to be left alone wasn't very chatty.
Steve Parish really nice chap
Phil Read nice chap
Jamie Whittham and Foggy they were a bit busy having a catch up but nice guys.

Damn I totally forgot my usual reply when talking about famous people; that Billie Piper touched me in a dark room  :p She seemed genuinely nice actually.

Met quite a few band members, and I have worked with a lot too, all went better than expected :D

Also I have met John Bentley twice (ex. England Rugby player - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Bentley_(rugby)) - had a smoke and a chat with him.
Have also met Steve Backley OBE (British Athlete - Javelin - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Backley), nice guy & down to earth :D .
Met a few other ex. England Rugby players the other week, but I forget their names :(

Rolf Harris - Really nice, down to earth and normal
Joan Armatrading - Again very nice, normal
Sir Patrick Stewart walked by me at about 4ft away
Jarvis Cocker - Having a tea outside of a cafe in Knaseborough
Lorne Spencer - Walking through Chester with her family.
Distant cousin of mine is James Lovell "Houston we have a problem" Never met him though

Rowan Atkinson.
Roy Chubby Brown.
Patrick Mower.
All miserable, although the woman I assume is Mowers missus when I used to see him (2005ish) was hot as **** and would get it all day.

David Prowse THE Darth Vader, sat on his shoulders when I was three.

The Queen - handshake and a few words, I didn't think she would speak but she did
Sean Bean - went for a few drinks, a great guy even if a Blades fan (shorter than you think)
Eric Bana - very nice guy, he's hairy though proper hot Mrs
Ruby Wax - she is a very witty lady, she has a great outlook on life
Louis Spence - a strange experience, he kept eyeing me up until I spoke to him to say I recognised him
Kylie Ireland - great norks

There are others whom escape me at the moment

How did you meet Kylie Ireland?

Michael Ball after seeing Hairspray in London, seemed like a normal guy, I wasn't starstruck or anything like that.

Met Jack Black at Dublin airport. Some gothic weirdos got to him first asking him such questions as "What are your views on death?" so by the time we got to say hello he was just about to escape to the VIP lounge. Still though he was happy enough for a handshake and autograph.

And does the FA Cup count? One of the organisers of my brothers children's football team also worked for Everton. He brought the cup to a team social event when they won it in 1995. Funniest thing was that there was also some player from Derby County (Lee Mills?) there who everyone practically ignored as they wanted pics with the FA Cup.

Seeing != meeting :p

I have seen bucketloads of celebs.

All been extraordinarily nice to me when I've met celebrities. Elton was a little brief but he was hosting a rather exquisite party so I'll let him off.
