The confirmation email gives the price £4.94, so if my card is charged any different I will be contacting them and my credit card company
 
If you've got the confirmation screen telling you that your order is processing and that you'll get an email within 1 business day, somehow I think the email will say "sorry, we made an error - order cancelled" or to that effect.

Do I need a US address or account? It says I do :(



Also for the FarCry people, some people are apparently having their orders cancelled for the ones that didn't go through I think...
But the site now where you could buy it from now says the product is now temporarily unavailable and FarCry 3 has been removed from the bundle it seems. Oh dear... xD

Log into amazon.com with your current amazon.co.uk account.

Order it as you usually would on .co.uk

When you get to the end of the checkout it will be greyed out and you won't be able to complete the order (due to UK address)

Click on the billing address, bottom right

Find a valid zip code and city in the state of your choice that don't charge sales tax! (Alaska, Delaware, Oregon)

Make up the rest of the address and phone number

Complete the sale

DON'T click on Amazon's "Download Now" button. Wait for the steam code to be emailed to you or click on the "Product key only" link under the "Download Now" button.

Register code with Steam

**Most of the games will be Steam codes, but make sure to fully read through the requirements, ie should say that it needs Steam. If it is not clear then check the comments as someone will have always asked before**

E: there are some mmo deals there too, Secret World, Eve Online and some other F2P ones. The keys they give out will be US ones, and may only work in the US and not elsewhere
 
I don't think Gamestop intended to have Far Cry 3 in that bundle. The release date show for the bundle was something like April 2011. £5 for Far Cry 1 and 2 on a special deal would have made more sense.
 
the secret world apparently will work in the uk, i tried finding it out and from googles results it appears to be true. theres even a link to their own forums with people confirming it.

i havnt tried it myself though but i am sorely tempted!

I'm pretty sure I got my original one from Amazon US when the game launched. There's only one cluster of servers anyway, they're not split by region. Do it, great game ;)

But I will need to check my Bank account to see how much exactly they took due to exchange rates.

I've avoided Amazon US deals up to now in the hope that they will finally open a UK download service, as they've supposedly been threatening to do since April 2011. I'm not particularly keen at the thought of lying about my billing address, but I'm now losing patience.

Has anyone had/seen/heard anything about any fallout at all from either Amazon or CC companies from people doing this? I've seen mention of additional credit card charges when doing this - anyone had those?
