The New Cases Gallery

^We mean the Silver Arrow SB-E cooler, not the chip itself :)

@kitkat
May I ask what the temps are/were with both coolers.

Moogleys results sound like the norm to me. They certainly tie in with the chart posted above (which doesn't take into account the fan speeds/noise required to achieve those results).
I do hear anecdotal stuff here and there from people who suggest that water (including CLC's like the H100) has a notable advantage over air on SB-E chips though. I'm prepared to accept that, but not to the tune of 20c. Not calling you a liar, it just seems a bit off :)

Finished moving everything over to my new Zalman Z9 Plus Case

very happy so far, Water temp on the Antec Kuler is 7 degrees lower (34 now v 41 before) than in the old case under normal desktop operation.

Case temp from sensor is 23 degrees (in front of the Antec fan above CPU).

I had to move the top case fan over to the second slot to accommodate the Antec Radiator.

Still need to work on the SATA cable and power management and neaten a few things up.

Quality Case at an astounding price.

Was going to say, will probably look quite good with a bit of cable management :D

Never been one for brown PCBs though, that motherboard looks a little ugly with the blue heatsinks. Guess it would work with Noctua's fans, which are pretty ugly too :p

Got my H100i yesterday and Corsair fans today. Once Christmas is out the way I'll add in some Corsair red braided cables and a decent fan controller.

Hope you don't mind me asking but how did you manage to get the corsair logo to be red on the block or is that a reflection or felt tip :D

I started off using the 7v fan speed reducer but there's so little difference in noise compared to 12v I chose to have cooler temps and a fraction more fan noise.

hi mutt i have the same fans here cant seem to change the rpms tho guess it fines cant really hear them tbh sp120 quite
atm its 1290 rpms that ok

dunno why it wont left me change the rpms ;/

Nice looking rig mate. Take some pics when you get your new 680 installed.

You can't control the SP120's with the Corsair Link software. You need this apparently:

thanks did you change the pump speed on default mine was set to RPM divider two and was going about 2000+ rpm i set it to one and its doing
4308 rpm

also these fans can do Speed: 1450 RPM? Corsair link say 1296 any way to make them max
as there i no way to max them out.

I tried changing the pump speed but it made no difference to the temps so I put it back to the default.

With regard to the fans. Perhaps try connecting them to the fan connectors on your motherboard and use some kind of utility software from your motherboard manufacturer to tweak the fan speeds.
