Is Fraps still the video recorder of choice nowa days, im sure ive seen a couple comments about it lowering the fps.

Took a good few Max Payne 3 screenies to share tonight with afterburner, saved some (the pants ones) and not others.
I thought It may have been because my capture key was F12 and steam was being used to run the game, but even after changing the hotkey, no luck. Any ideas?

arc@css - I now how a gtx670, I think I first played it an ATI x1600xt or maybe an 8800GT
The new offerings of Farcry and Crysis just seem too cartoony (or something like that)
I may well go down the 1440p route in a year or two. From what I understand, AA isn't needed as much, and tbh I tend to be quite happy with FXAA or low levels of other forms of AA, so one card should suffice for my needs.

Re : anyone playing Crysis 2 + MaLDoHD mod : I'm having great difficulty in getting it running now, so atm I'm inclined to think it may need patching.
Edit : seems to be working ok, though I had to restart a new game. :/

Project cars with sweetFX 50/50 split.
sweet fx is the slightly darker side on the left.
not sure what I like best tbh :S
I'm veering towards the games washed out colours looking more realistic
BTW fake made up logos on the car because someone made it for a livery competition (with the top voted liveries for each car being added to the game) the game dev's dont allow real brands for obvious reasons. (some car licenses come with the real livery though)
there are other liveries on the forum that you can download that have authentic logos though (the devs just wont allow any of them in the livery competions)
at the moment there's only one custom livery slot for each car but the devs have promised that will change eventually

Mini gun is soooo good, the physics are 1 million times better than crysis 2, let loose all those rounds and it is just like the scene in the predator with the mini gun
Will have to give that crysis 2 mod a go, looks superb!

The water shader crashed my game as soon as it loaded so couldn't use it for vanilla crysis maps, but it seems to work with the custom maps just fine...

edited my sweet fx and much happier with the colours now, turned off sweetfx's luma sharpen as well and seems to have got my AA back, still a few fuzzies but you can't notice them when the games actually in motion so I'm happy
