Indeed, it's not like there is a rush, I'll just leave the PC on overnight. Although, currently sat at over 24 hours to go.

The R* servers clearly can't keep up with the numbers downloading. No doubt Steam would be much quicker, but as it's only a preload I'm quite happy to keep the extra £10 in my wallet and put up with a slow download.

Anyone with experience of GTA V know if there is a way to instantly get rid of that wretched pre order bonus? I hate that sort of thing as it ruins the flow and feel of the game as Franklin should start with $50 to his name, not 1.2 million.

Buy an amazing car in the game and just keep it in the garage for screenshots only or something. I remember in test drive 2 you could buy housing in the online space

buy stock on a losing company
is success of companies pre determined, random or player dependant

I may be wrong but after GTA 4, I forsee community mods for the non steam version coming sooner than the steam version.

I can't see why there would be any difference?

Stop pre ordering video games.

Listen to yourself and you won't get the preorder bonus.

With this and the witcher 3 coming soon, I am seriously thinking of having a slight rebuild... Well, reshuffle really. My hard drives especially are a mess. I have 2 64gb SSDs(one for system, one for current games), and 2 1tb HDDs. They are all pretty much full up. I'm thinking of going for one 200+gb SSD and one 4tb HDD. Fresh windows install to get everything up to scratch.

Affording it is gonna be the kicker!... I think it will be worth it though.

Bit off all 3 , put money on a company then go round blowing all its **** up instead of a competitor , put money on the wrong company during mission hints. You get the drift

Right going to get gta 5, not too bothered about proper 21.9 support as chances are I'll be getting the asus IPS 144 freesync screen anyway which is 16.9 so meh!

Any one got a guide for buying from nuvuum or whatever site it is? I need to use a proxy don't I?

Exactly... it's a retail key, which is surely OK for Steam?

ie, it's the same key as buying a disk from a store... which always active on Steam, as long as the game is available on Steam.

I haven't had an issue before with that type of key on Steam... although I haven't bought GTA V yet... should I not buy a key from them?

Always, except for with this it seems. :(

I agree. I don't know how its going to work but hope its one of those games where you pick up the bonus item in game, so I can just ignore it.

Download Hola extension for Chrome or Firefox.
Create an account on Nuuvem
Connect Hola to Brazil
Add game to basket
Select payment via Paypal
Disconnect Hola
Input Paypal details and pay
Go to games section
Grab activation code
Download Social Club from official site and activate

Or something along those lines anyway.

Anyone clocking their gpu/cpu ready for this game? In the past I have always clocked my cpu as soon as I built the pc, but since getting my i5-4690k I haven't really had to. Looking at the recommended specs being an i7, i'm wondering whether to have a go at clocking it.

Got 9472 in firestrike, so hoping I can put most things on high @ 1080p.

Yep - clocked mine this week in prep. Upto 13,006 on a 4790K/980 combo.

Any DX11 class game, due to the limitations of the API you will see minimal differences in games between an i5 and an i7. OC'ing is free performance so I would do it. (In fact that’s exactly what I was doing today, but mine was for stability)

I expect the difference between core counts to start making a difference once DX12 arrives.

Most games that advertise the recommended specs as an i7, is purely advertising, probably being paid off by Intel.

This. I don't want it either. ****ing stupid thing to give away as a pre order bonus to be honest.
