Updated windows today and there is no audio after the update, if I install the windows 8 driver manually I have audio after one restart but if I restart again the audio is once again gone.

Need some help. :(

If I can't get this working I'm going back to Windows 8.1

Opening the Creative Audio Control Panel and restoring defaults should get your sound back after rebooting.

Crazy solution: open Control Panel -> Sound -> Speakers -> Properties -> Advanced, change 24 bit 480000 (or whatever it is) to something else (96000 for example). Then put the computer to sleep. Then wake the computer. Might remember the settings after rebooting now. And you can put setting back to 48000 (or whatever you had to start with).

I'm having the same issue. Have tried official 8.1 drivers, PAX drivers, and even pulling down drivers from Windows Update. Like you, sound works fine between installing drivers and rebooting, but immediatly upon booting back up, there's no sound. I can't even get my Creative CP to work - it just whines on about missing files or no detected compatable HW...

It's possible that Windows 10 is overwriting your drivers with a version it thinks is better.

If you can find : Advanced system settings > Hardware > Device Installation Settings (from System Information, I think) there is a setting to stop drivers being installed by Windows Update.

I have got a X-Fi XtremeMusic, same problem as the gents further up the thread.

According to Creative's site we won't see drivers e.t.c until October :( I ended up uninstalling all mine and using the onboard Realtek job.

Sometimes I wonder why creative still make soundcards they don't want to do anything these days.
I have a soundblaster z when I installed 10 its installed a driver for a recon card and no sound installed the 8.1 driver sorted it and have disabled driver updates so I hope to be ok till creative get of there butts and make a driver

Use Daniel_k modded drivers from creative labs forums :)
Works fine on windows 10.

edit : ops kinda missed a few posts on my phone :p

These work for Xfi Titanium but you must disable automatic driver updates or else Windows keeps installing some other drivers again which don't work.
