Well, I for one am very happy boomstick changes his hardware a lot, as I managed to get his old MSI and another one in the mm for less than the cheapest reference, no problems with them in SLI, drivers great and enjoying win10.

Thought about non ref for this one but not enough air flow, so blower or AIO was only real option.

I always struggle with this idea: enthusiasts jump on new graphic cards pretty quickly. Those are the same people to whom Lighting/Kingpin cards are targeted.
Msi probably had to wait longer than EVGA to be able to shift a decent amount of cards (Kingpin model can't keep up with demand).

Would like to see sales data after a few months of Lighting.

I could get annoyed that I jumped on the 6G too early but at 1080p a lightning probably wouldn't be worth it. I expect at least 1400 stock boost clocks.

None of those binned cards are (worth it) as far as gaming. Even more so with this highly efficient architecture.
The worst card can get to 1400Mhz, while the absolute best maybe 1550? Still something like 3-4% performance.

The binned cards are for benchers willing to pay the extra for those few percent. For regular gamers any of the aftermarket cards are a good choice.

This card is excellent, auto turbo to just over 1200Mhz, throttles down to 1150mhz when temps hit about 83C.

All heat is exhausted out the back (A lot of heat lol).

Chuffed with this build !
