Hi guys wondering if any one has heard the minimum spec needed for battlefront yet. I am assuming it will be similar to Bf4 due to the same engine but not holding out.

Recommended specs are:

CPU: 8 Core AMD custom CPU Frequency: 1.75 GHz
Memory: 8GB DDR3 2133MHz
GPU AMD 768 cores @ 853 MHz
And an Xbone controller.

;)

Beta is Thursday 8th Oct

you got hardline it will be exactly the same.more or less exactly the same.it will also die in a month after release exactly the same.

then those that play bf will be back playing bf4.

A DICE FPS based on Star Wars and supported by an EA marketing campaign? I seriously doubt it.

doubt it all you want.bf4 shows all.

people want battlefield from battlefield not gimmicks.they dropped medal of honor for this reason then try and make cash in titles in between.

hardline was a flop .

next great idea lets make starwars that will be a big win = no.

cash-in titles are exactly that.they are great for short period then you see it as it is. no substance or real thought and it is back to the REAL game with the backbone.

so in battlefields case bf4.

wish their was more competition but they have it sown up so they can just put out any old **** now slang some millions behind marketing and people lap it up.

the funny or sad thing about it is people buy the title many times just because its new or nothing else about to play. as so many fps titles are lackluster .

its not because its good which if you went of the numbers it may seem so.

thing is its a vicious circle cause because it sold so many units due to people searching for a good fps or cause its new the people just do the exact same thing over and over. nothing changes and crappy fps games get continued to be made.

Gotta agree with DG on this.

Just started playing BFH singleplayer and its nice but its not Battlefield. I played it for about 2 hours last night and stopped and had to remember I was playing a battlefield game.

After the Hardline flop none of my friends are remotely interested in battlefront, and from the limited video's ive seem neither am i. Let Dice continue with BF4, bring some old maps back from BF2/3 and all is good :)

Only reason it will sell well is because its Star Wars.

I'm looking forward to playing it, gameplay looks good to me.

It's not replacing BF4, one is a contemporary military shooter the other is Star Wars! People can still play both, or one and not the other. I don't think it's aimed at exactly the same group of players as BF4 anyway to be honest, it looks a bit more accessible for newbies.

I don't generally buy a lot of first person shooters for multiplayer, usually I prefer a decent single player experience but I'll give the beta a bash with an open mind.

Star Wars hype in December with the new movie will obviously help sales as well.

Edit - This hasn't even got 'Battlefield' anywhere in the title either - So when DG says "people want Battlefield from Battlefield" - Why are they thinking this is a Battlefield game?

Because it was made by the Company and dev team responsible for Battefield, has replaced Battlefied 5 (BC3/2142 etc etc) in the line up.

So regardless of what they call it, some people will be expecting a Battlefield game - which this won't be, they will be expecting space battles and all the shizzle for Star trekwars.

At the end of the day, if this didn't have Stars Trekwars in the title it would be another DICE flop.

Well those people are wrong...

Battlefield 5 is out in 2016.

Yeah I know that, but normally they release new Battlefields are around 2 years apart, not 3. Think they bumped it off the list this year for SWBF.

I don't mind, I won't be buying SWBF, sadly I have no faith left it DICE, this isn't the reason for not buying, it's not my genre of game.

Never seen the movies.

for any reasons doubting which platform this is made for

EA Access members can play Star Wars: Battlefront starting November 12 before anyone else only on xbox one.

So because Hardline was a flop(which was obvious from miles away), Star Wars Battlefront must also be a flop? Cuz that is the general basis of your reasoning. I could also continue on and then claim that every shooter DICE ever makes from now will be a flop because Hardline sucked.

I'm highly confident Battlefront will be a hit, though I've got some reservations about the depth of the gameplay based on some of what I've seen. Still gonna get it, though. They've nailed the Star Wars aesthetic like nothing else and I wont mind a more casualized sort of competitive FPS for a change. It's certainly not a substitute for a proper Battlefield game and that's fine. It's not supposed to be.
