Msi afterburner>settings>fan>enable user defined software auto fan control then adjust the fan speed vs temperature graph points to what you want.
On main screen then press user define on the fan speed section, that should be it.

Got my 1080 Armor, its doing 2088 at 1050mv, at 61C it wants to downclock to 2050 and stays around 62C, if I increase mv or offset it gets to 65C and goes unstable, so waterblock is the next step for me (core only block)
It also happily does +600 on mem, at 700 it starts artefacting but havent had time to dial in where best performance is
At 2050 and 5600 Ive gone from 65fps minimums to 78fps in R6 Siege benchmark, which has allowed me to enable 4xMSAA which was previously off and I still get around 80-90fps in gameplay so pretty pleased with that truth
Coming from a 1500mhz 980ti, and about a 20% gain OC for OC before any mods

Anyone Tried BF4 with the 1080 on ultra 1080p Settings according to MSI afterburner the max FPS while in game is 75FPS (this is next to where it says D3D)

I did a quick down and dirty guide to MSI Afterburner for those wanting to know what is what with the overlay and overclocking.
Audio quality is poor so apologies for that but just used the ShadowPlay option for this.

I personally wouldn't bother with V SYNC on BF4, you need all the frames you can get. Have you tried disabling and actually seeing what you have? Check in the NVIDIA Control Panel as well. This is probably the wrong thread to have this convo btw....

Def use the Fastsync option with 1080p too. It's in the Sync options in the Control panel

Thanks jedi ill take a look ive just Disabled (Vsync) that made 0% Difference but I think ive found the issue in video there is a setting called Scale resolution(it was set to 175 ive dropped it to 100 and then the FPS when to 191FPS
i'm sorry if the question's seem silly/stupid its the First proper time ive gamed on pc with such a Graphics Card
I'm just not used to all the settings

well I cant get my pc to boot with my new 1080 in it 
I'm running an Asrock Z68 Extreme 4 Gen 3 motherboard, and I get debug code 62 when booting up the new card, but boots fine without. I think the motherboard might not support the cards? There doesn't appear to be an update though...
Sooo frustrated if I've waited this long and it's DOA

From your older posts, I see you were running an AMD card in wait for your 1080 to arrive. Other people have had error 62 from not removing the AMD display drivers prior to booting up with their 1080.

I used DDU tool, and have done so a second time too
Also I can't even get to bios with it installed, so it's not even loading into windows before erroring so I dont think it's an OS driver issue. It's gotta be DOA or a motherboard bios thing I think. I've just spoken to their support and they have referred it onto their taipei guys to hopefully advise and provide a custom bios if needed.
