I feel your pain. Have you tried Ccleaner and ran it against the regs? It does sound like a bios issue to me though.

Im still sat at queue position 142 for my STRIX!! Come on delivery guy from ASUS!!

Yeah that's what I mean.

When you remove the protective plastic, is there still remaining plastic underneath those screws? Some people were complaining over on Reddit/EVGA forums that they had to remove the screws to remove it all.

I understand EVGA have since fixed the issue though, must've been on some of the earlier production ones.

Have you updated your motherboard bios?
Its quite common on new GPU's

Edit: just seen youve checked, but yeah, quite an old mobo so probably needs a bios update

Do MSI allow you to remove the heatsink? Sure I've read that their ok with it. I see its got a warranty void sticker on one of the screws. Not having an issue really with temperatures, was just more interested to see if they have been "generous" with the TIM. If I can improve on it then that would be great.

Where is the fast sync thing? I can't seem to find it?

I play at 1440p and my monitor is capped at 100hz but Overwatch goes over that so I am guessing fast sync will help.

It's in the Nvidia control panel under the V-Sync options menu.

Found it and it works quite well too! Eliminated my tearing kept me at a steady hundred and I felt nothing.
