My second Ti turned up this morning. It's installed but work is getting in the way of play time. I'll run some bench tests as requested later tomorrow.

I have the OC model and it blitzes it's stock clock, benches at around 1520mhz core.

Even if the stock clocked one doesn't do 1500 (not many of them do) then you'd have thought it would at least do the stock boost clock of the OC model. Even though mine clocks well I wouldn't have another, the cooler is noisy above 45% fan speed and it's voltage locked which is a shame because mine does 1520/2100 on stock volts so it would have been interesting to see what it would do with a bit more juice

Think I've fixed my issue, crashed straight away tonight. Ripped the fancy extension coloured pci-e cables out and it's been fine for over 2 hours now.

If it keeps up I'll probably pick another 980ti up for SLI to give me abit more horsepower for 3440x1440.

I have/had a fantastic 84.9% ASIC G1 Gaming, boosted to 1400+ out of the box and did 1500+ on stock volts (1.18v). It lasted roughly one month and one week, long enough for me to see it beating what OC'd 1070s could do, until it randomly died on me whilst playing Forza last Friday.

Snagged it new from ebay for £400 when at the time they were going for about 550, will see if Giga honor the warranty but remain doubtful.

Now I have a £400 paperweight and a borrowed 5870 :rolleyes:

My 980 Ti arrived!

for £360 I really can't complain, it Boosts to 1450mhz and got it to 7.8ghz on the memory, as it matches my classified I sold a few months back for £500 and got this for the price I did made up! was a bit skeptical about the cheaper strix thinking it was a fail during the binning process since it runs at stock, throw an overclock at it and it's passed the firestrike stability test at 99.7% the build quality is great! and the temps with a 1:1 fan profile is fantastic and not too noisy! runs through DOOM at 4k without a sweat! I'd say it beats out an average clocking 1070 too! now to wait till big pascal

I'll probably be the last on the 980 Ti ROH and I was the first also

the techreport review finally came out and it says that the 1080 is not just about frame-rates, it also delivers a much smoother gaming experience due to the super low frame-times. I am waiting to see the Gigabyte Waterforce 1080ti before I chop my 980ti card in but the form looks good

why anyone would get a 1080 at current prices instead of the Ti is beyond me :confused:
