2050 mhz out of the box and wont go above 68c full load

Very pleased

No haribo though

Corner has a tiny bit of damage..

EDIT: After using a while I noticed it whines/vibrates really loud.

Forgot to say - the two SC's I got were tested on air before I popped the blocks on them.

One did 1923 stock, the other 1948.

Gave them a brief OC on air as well to test before water cooling- one did 2060 the other 2140. That's running through Heaven for 30 mins then The Division. Not exhaustive, but let me know which card to pop on top

Both happily did +500 mem.

I'm upto about ~2050 which is +110 on the core. Can't seem the touch the memory though.

Did it hold those figures? I can get it there, but throttles back after 4 minutes of load. Got the memory up to +500 though with ease.

Exactly the same fan issue here. It sounds like it's pulsing once it ramps up. Weird.

I definitely noticed a performance increase in tomb raider with the overclock on though.

Still getting slow down in the cities to mid/late 40s. It's a tough old game/resolution to run.

OC'ing my CPU a bit to see if it helps. In reality however, I can live with those frames.

Valley left looping for 1hr on +120 on core and +300 on the memory, so maybe just a fire strike issue.

Temperatures were about 72°C with the fan around 1000rpm.

hi

I sold my msi 980ti few weeks ago (£400), I decided to wait on the rx480, not because I was going to buy one but to see if it influenced NVidia's pricing, which I don't think it has or will.

now I cannot decide what to buy between a 1070 and a 1080

my problem is the 1070 isn't a big gain over my old 980ti but It doesn't cost me a penny. where as with the 1080 I should see a jump in performance but @£200 more

also I could do with knowing which card to go for from both catagories

I've just bought 2 X 120mm fans which in going to position in the outside of my case to direct air flow at the card. Thus should reduce temps a bit and thus noise.

I did the same mod onto a passively cooled 750ti which was hitting 80 and throttling. It now only hits as high as 49c under stress testing!!
