You'll need to buy a 2nd card or you be cold in the winter.

What are peoples thoughts on the founders' edition? Are they noisey? Thinking of cancelling my evga order and getting a founders' card.

I sent my Founders back and picked uo an MSI Gaming X. More or less silent and maintains a 100mhz higher boost. The founder would OC more or less as well but would drop the boost due to higher thermals. I had to peg it at 70% fan to maintain 1950mhz but found it too loud.

Stock fan profile and clocks the Founders was fine though.

Thats good to hear. I tend to not bother overclocking but my first instinct is the evga sc as I currently have the same in a 970 which has been stellar!

I've succumbed to the dark side and ordered an EVGA SC. Just got to wait now and see if all the hype is justified. I would have preferred to have gone AMD but there 480 just didn't look like it would cut it at 1440p and it's a long wait for the next option.

First Nvidia card so should be interesting!

I'm waiting for a Palit Gamerock Premium 1070. AMD haven't come up with any decent upgrade option in ages. I was hoping for a better reply to the Pascal launch, but the 480 just doesn't seem to offer enough "welly". I swore I'd avoid Nvidia after owning a very ****y GTX460, but I'm willing to give them another chance.

Has anyone managed to control their AIB cards LED lighting through GeForce Experience LED Visualizer?

Doesn't seem to work on my MSI 1070 Gaming X. MSI's gaming app works but it's a bit crap and seems to forget my settings after sleep.

The 1070 seems a sweetspot for a lot of people, but I am waiting for something to trigger a price drop which will be maybe when the 1080 TI gets launched.

I was going to wait for the price to drop by about £50 if that ever happens, but it might not be worth doing that. If you think about it, if it takes 2 months for the price to drop then that's 2 months when you could have been enjoying gaming on a better GPU. If you think of the value of the upgrade in terms of how long you will be able to enjoy gaming with it, it might not be worth waiting. That was my logic anyway

This is the cheapest I've seen a 1070 so I'm tempted by it, are inno3D any good or is better to go for another brand? There are so many different cards, I don't know which one to go for.

That's the one I was looking at before I spotted the Gamerock Premium at £20 more, and it's gone up since then.

I'm keeping a close eye out for the day my card ever drops to the same price or below as the £380 I bought it for.

My gut is that it will be more than long enough for me to feel I got some good gaming time out of it and it wouldn't have been worth waiting for.

Same card as you. Can't use GeForce Experience to change the LED.

MSI Gaming App works to change RGB lighting on the logo and to change the other red lights, but like you it doesn't reapply the settings on reboot so I've uninstalled and am sticking with the default white logo/red fins with no effects

You may be waiting a long time then. I cant see the 1080ti coming out till at least next year. Also with the pound not likely to recover against the dollar till we sort out yhis brexit nonsense the hope of prices going down are diminishing.

Gbp to usd is 1.29 now! If anything prices might go up if the pound keeps falling through the floor.

Finally got my MSI Gaming X fitted now I've finished work for the week

Was going to wait, but with prices rising I grabbed one whilst it was £415 at another retailer.
