Fair enough, just seems some people have been reporting ~60c or so being the norm in pretty intense FPS. Whereas i've just been playing Path of Exile at the moment until Doom arrives! :eek:

Whats the general core stable overclock that people are getting with their cards?

I have a gaming x that sits happily at 2114 mhz at around 68c on auto fan which is at 48%. Memory is micron but will do 300 mhz on top.

I want to know about those evga ftw cards if you don't mind peeps.

I was able to get +550 onto the memory in Uniengine Valley but I then tried it in OCCT and to not get errors +350 was top, not sure if I should just ignore OCCT though. Core seems to be happy at +110, but I was already boosting to 1.95GHZ out of the box anyway.

So your in game settled boost is?

And what temps?

Am debating getting a 1070 for my x58 rig has a xeon 6core in there at 4.2ghz . Anyone had any issues getting to work bios wise?

If its Micron stuff then around +300 is probably the max you will get stable over a wide variety of games - I thought mine was good for around +500 at first but quickly found it wasn't 100% stable over more extensive testing.

Heaven 4.0 benchmark done by cards factory Defort clocks settings ,
can fully change the Fan speed /set the fan speed/Temp by 0 rmp to 100% in "Gigabytes VGA - XTREME ENGINE Utility", have 0% fan while not gaming ,
I have set mine to 60c before fan starts as seen in photo below .

UPDATE :Not sure if all batch of cards same ,But! the coil hizz/buzz/whine is bad on my card under load & even sometimes watching a blu-ray movie the buzz kicks in ,
Also to Note it maybe being i got the PSU plugged into a surge multi socket with my speakers & monitor ,That is giving the whine/buzz.

Depends on the game.

But if sli is working fully, I'd say a side grade.

Micron memory is appearing on a lot of 1070's now.

How is the card, if I swap my 980ti for a 1070 that's the one I was thinking about as I want to shrink my case

For 24/7 gaming on my Gaming X I have settled on +110/+600 (Samsung memory). This equals 2076mhz max boost which settled to 2038mhz once warmed up on my custom 'silent' fan profile as I like to keep it really quiet

I have a MicroATX case with low speed silent fans so thermally my situation is worse than most which doesn't help either.

I can bench higher (top scoring 1070 in Heaven and GPU score in Firestrike according to the benchmark threads

) but dropped to the above for stability.
