I have turned up the fans to max out at 2500. Brings the temps to 75 and havent had a driver crash yet. I am now a prisoner to gaming in my underpants with the windows open and the lights off so moths don't come in.
I love my new trapped life.
Why hasnt ocuk still havnt got the asus strix model in stock, other sites have.
Evening guys,
Can someone help me from my PC which currently feels like the sun. I was overclocked and getting a right old sweat on when gaming. Set to standard i would rather underclock and get lower temps than to have the GF putting washing behind me in hope that they will dry! Can someone explain this to me? I have a 8GB Nitro+ OC and i just can not get over how hot it blows. Playing Overwatch on ultra if giving me 80c. Such a shame because the rest of the PC is running at 30c under water. But i just don't feel the cost to water this card is worth it for the price bump.
Anyone undervolting theirs successfully care to share their volts/oc?
Thanks.
Off to rub some aftersun on.

I'm an Asus fan boy but I wouldn't pay the extra for these cards. A simple Sapphire Nitro would do.
Only buy reference if you are:
1: deaf.
2: planning on watercooling.
I just saw that...! I'm glad I didn't wait & went for the MSI instead.
The highest I've seen it go is 1500rpm approx but it's usually much lower than that, about 1000rpm/20% iirc. Temps usually under 70c but no higher than low 70's. If you don't want to mess with fan profiles etc it's perfect (which is what I had to do with the XFX GTR to stop it from going well over 2000rpm, even 3000).
Since I had the reference cooler I put mine underwater yesterday.
To be fair guys, the last ASUS amd cards were crap...just put the nvidia cooler on and said "it's ready!"
I've got the Nitro + RX 480, was one of the first to get it
Solid card, even if it is my stop gap between now and Vega...playing @ 3440x1440 too, it's really performing well.
