I`ve just posted a thread about updating my Gamerock Premium with Samsung memory.

The upgrade was worth doing on my card. (Now 86.04.50.00.52).

Better fan curve and lower temps. I can also get a better overclock.

OK I have just read your thread and I have now updated my bios. Temps definitely seem lower.

I've noticed one of the fans on my zotac Amp rattles on low RPM, is this RMA able ? I have near silent build and the fans just ramp up for 2 seconds and turn off but one of the fan must have something with bearings for sure.

My evga sc is going back for a full refund.

Leaning towards the zotac amp...

I like the zotac, its mega quiet and the lighting settings can be set to be very subtle I have noctua NH-D15 so I cannot even see the orange backplate

And 5y warranty fully covered by ocuk.

The cooling problems on the evga 10 series are an absolute joke. But fair play to evga for agreeing to a refund.

Will order the zotac amp as soon as i get email confirmation from evga that i can send the sc back.

You going for the normal amp or the extreme?

Normal amp i think. The extreme is a little on the pricy and big side.

My 18 month old Zotac 980 Ti had to go back to Zotac via OcUK for RMA.

Took 4 weeks to get a replacement.

Worth keeping in mind if you don't want to be without a GPU for long if it happens to fail.

I will keep that in mind, zotac didn't approve my product registration because on their us site it says 30 days to register and on eu site it says 28 I registered on 30th day so bit of a disappointment there. But Ocuk said they will honour the full warranty. So I might call them to see what should I do.

The card I bought seems to be a good one.

Not the best looking unless you like the blue and white theme, and only 2 years warranty (my theory is that if it's a dodgy card it'll fail within the first year anyway).

Very good cooler (VRMs seem to be properly cooled and the heatsink is a beast). One of the fastest GTX1070s at default settings. Quiet and runs fairly cool (less than 70C). The non-premium version can be bought for less than £400, and it's almost identical.
