mates, who needs them?

Ok this is how it goes, every friday night there is a party/drunken party. I have never been invited but that really doesnt bother me. my best friend 'laura' ( she has been having home problems), has asked another of my mates to one of these 'parties' tomoz night , but the weird thing is that she told her not to to tell me in case i wanted to come!
am i just being stupid, cause this really hurts my feelings, or should i get new mates? :(
 
doesnt sound very nice to me. Personally, i wouldnt need "mates" like that.

I only have a select 2 or 3 anyway. I think its much nicer to have 2 or 3 close mates rather than about 10 who are idiots.
 
No offence but some people I dont invite to parties as they are dodgy not saying its u but it could be a possiblity.

O and by the way if someones going somewhere and u would like to go show an interest then if they still dont invite you **** em off!!! get new mates! :rolleyes:

Hmmm, that's a bit thoughtless of them, but then I get the same if my housemates don't ask me to go to Sainsburys etc. with them.
 
ive just spoken to the girl who she invited and she doesnt know why she doesnt want me to come. Im actually really upset cause laura is meant to be my best mate and ive done so much for her! **** her i got mark!! :D

I don't see a reason why she wouldn't want you to go there, is this a house party? Or is it in a club? Because if its a houseparty you don't really need an invitation, all you need to do is bring some booze or other stuff and invite yourself there, thats how it works here.

edti: Just saw your age, uhh, isn't 16 a bit young to be geting drunk?

Err, yeah... I saw it in a film, you just ring them up & they come round & bust everyone for drugs n stuff and no-one knows it was you because they send you to an island in the sun somewhere, with a new face.

tried confronting 'Laura' probably be your best bet cos then you will know if she is a really friend or a ****
