Hitman Blood Money Demo coming soon

I've tried the demo patch, it won't install until I get this ' _BinkSetVolume@12 ' error sorted!

Ooh, almost had to eat my words there. Re-downloaded the patch, and it attempted to install! :eek:

That is, until it came back telling me Hitman:Blood Money v 1.0 is not found, and I realised the ones in your link are actually for the full game, not the demo. I think. Maybe. But I could be wrong.

Don't you just love computers?

d'oh, I see the demo patch on that site now. Still not working though.

But I think I will give in, at least for now, with that demo. I might just have to go out and buy the full game to see if it's any good.

U should have posponed shooting urself till I told u that I worked it out! I got basically the same error "no binkw32.dll found", until I realised its not a patch its a replacement .exe!

Anyone else getting problems with random crashes when starting the game. A couple of times I now get a copy protection error telling me that I should place the original cd (which is what I have) in the drive rather than a clone :confused:

I get that too every so often, same with Tomb Raider. There is a setting you (and I) need to change with regards to the DVD player, however I've never bothered as it's not a show-stopper.

Well it worked until I Alt-Tabbed out and managed to crash it, so I think if I don't do anything stupid (as if!) then it'll work.

Good stuff. I hope you enjoy it. The demo level feels very linear, but the rest of the game is up to the usual Hitman style.

I just downloaded the demo from downloads.com and the patch from Eidos to try and test the game and I get a error message telling me that'...binkw32.dll was not found'...This is not a good impression as I was going to by the game if I liked it, so my money may now go elsewhere.

Its a replacement .exe not a installer patch. Dont worry for not twigging, first time; there is no readme or instructions but still that shouldnt detract from the game itself.
