I think I've only used a knife once. It's rare that Plan B comes into action, but it's always there if needed. Plan C is find a corner and fight.Lovejoy! said:thats a point - if you were doing the mission properly you could have picked up a knife in the kitchen.
That's something I'm a little angry about, crash and you can't load from any save.knowledge123 said:mine crashed once when it was about to display the newsapaper, and i had to do the WHOLE LEVEL again, oh welli haven't patched mine yet. i use mouse and keyboard

I've heard this method used, not sure if it works:
If you crash during play and want to load a save, before you start the game copy the save game folder sideways. Load the game, load the level. Copy the save game folder contents over the new one and load as usual.
I'll try it now...KingAdora said:Ahh hope that really works! I had masses of problems with it crashing to desktop on the christmas mission. (although I found out why it was doing it now....)
Really annoying having to restart the game again, only to find the savegames are also gone!
We have a winner. This is what I did:Roduga said:I'll try it now...
It's a DirectX dll, not one of theirs. Hang on...tTz said:Damn, that's me downloaded it a second time and got the same missing dll error. Don't suppose anyone has a d3ddx9_27.dll they want to send me?![]()
You could have broken it to him gently!OzZie said:Google it. You can download the .dll in a few seconds. In fact, you never had to redownload the game. It's only a missing DX9 file that needs to be put into windows.

*blank goes off*tTz said:As far as I can tell, the new problem is with:
'The procedure entry point _BinkSetVolume@12 could not be located in the dynamic library binkw32.dll'
Redownloaded the dll, redownloaded Bink vid player. Googled the problem, all the sites that come up are problems when people have cracked or copied games, and the advice is to reinstall from the original disk. Hmm.
Then I found that the game itself would work, it was just the patch program that wouldn't. 'Oh joy!' thinks me, until I get to the load screen and it crashes to the desktop.![]()
